I do not feel this is a safe school. Teachers do not dismiss students at the door. At the end of the day, students are running the halls and stairs. There are No adults to be found with the children at dismissal. Care is not given to the individual needs of students. Hallways are not attractive an appealing to visitors. Parents are not able to reach the school by phone, which is usually left off the hook. Supervisors need to visit the school more often until critical improvements are made. Unhappy grandparent and former educator.

Although I do not agree with the policies of the current principal, Belmont has improved alot since the beginning of the school year. The staff is very sweet and caring. My child has remained on the honor roll. The school has various activities for the children and they are trying to get the parents involved more. I am a former student of Belmont Elementary School and I believe the school has alot more improving to do before it meets the standards and qualities it had when I was a child.
