My daughter and I love this school. It challenges her mind and engages her interest. All of the students here are friendly there’s no bullying and that’s a plus for us. I highly recommend this school.

It is a very nice school. I have experienced the right challenges here and the school is so diverse and welcoming.

Poly is a great school and my child has been quite happy. The staff is strong, the kids nice, and college prep good. It is not a school for lightweights, and why so many kids wash out. The home work load is substantial after the freshman year where it's too light. My kid has a 4.0 average and struggles with how heavy the homework load is and is often working till 12:30/1:00 to finish it, including working all weekend. The majority of teachers assign work on holidays and over breaks, so the poor kids never get a chance regroup. The teaching staff is quite good, particularly the English and Math departments. Science has been somewhat disappointing, due to them not finding qualified subs when people have retired or moved on.

I would rate this excellent Baltimore city schools because of how well they prepare the students for college

Overall, Baltimore Polytechnic Institute has a great academic program, but lacks organization within Administration, cleanliness, and communication with parents and students. Classes are challenging in order to get a student prepared for college. The college preparatory counselors work hard which I appreciate and I am sure to appreciate more during my senior year and application process. I just finished my junior year here in the Ingenuity Program and I absolutely believe that as an alumnus of this school, because of its reputation, you are open to many opportunities that others don’t get to have.

I actually really like the school. I’ve been here for only a couple months, but it’s a really nice school. Sometime the work gets hard, but luckily the teachers always help out when you need it

Baltimore Polytechnic Institute has a challenging curriculum and really puts its students to the test. Even when the students go home the challenge is not over with an average three hours of homework every night Poly makes sure that their students are ready for the next day of school.

This a very hard school but it will make your child ready for college. My kid really loves this school not the lunch

Poly is highly overrated! Most teachers I found were incompetent and not as good as I had expected. Also, I never found that Poly academically challenged me. In 9th grade we read ONE BOOK the whole year. I left Poly and never regretted that decision.

I love this school alot but I just think its being a little overrated... Poly is the one of the Best Highschools in the state but its not all that. I love the challenges it brings to the table but hate how they try to full you with alot of work and TONS of homework.
