My child is a first grader here at Dalton. I was a little skeptical last year and after meeting all the staff and teachers, I now feel very blessed to be a part of this lovely school. The teachers/staff are very warm and always very helpful. They are very approachable and are willing to work with every parent and child on their needs. They encourage the students to excel and be responsible for their learning. They are the only elementary school in Azusa to teach STEM. My first grade child and many of his classmates read at 4th grade level. There's just too many great things to say about Dalton! Don't judge the school by the test scores. That's what I did last year, but each child excels at a different rate. Scores only tell a small portion of the story. Dalton has students of many different backgrounds - some being new at learning English, while others are advanced at English. They take pride in teaching all students of various race, gender, social status, etc. Being a prideful volunteer, I know for a fact that many of these kids are excelling at Dalton!

My husband and I work in education and from what I have seen and experienced at Dalton thus far has been nothing short from great! Considering my experience with our home school Hodge..which was not great nor friendly in my opinion. Just not a good fit for our kids. Glad We got the transfer to Dalton!

They lost my child, teachers & staff are very unprofessional & rude. My child will not be attending this school next year. I was very disappointed because there are only a few teachers that are great & I thought this would be a good school for my child to attend but now I'm starting to hear from friends & family the bad experiences they've had with this school. And now I understand why.

Excellent school! All staff is kind and friendly. All go above and beyond to make all children feel sucessful. I especially appreciate teachers being out there at times of dismissal making sure all kids are safely on there way. It is a small school which is a great plus if you are looking for more individualized attention for your child.

This is the worst school ever, please do not send your kids there, and the principal is horrible. Only sent my son there because we moved and it was the worse year of his life and mine. he was bullied and they did nothing about it except to blame him had to send him to councilling because of going here,he went from being an above average student to below average. sent him to private school because of this now he has all A's. horrible, please beware.
