This school joked about suspending our 5 year old (who is on the spectrum) for the 4th time just so they could have a friday off. We pulled him out immediately to pursue fair treatment.

Transferred my student from Gildo Rey to Pioneer due to dissatisfaction with both teacher and administrative staff at Gildo Rey. We are 6 Months into the school year and I am blown away. My child was struggling, over a full grade behind on reading at the start of the year, but is now hovering right below a reading level a grade above her current grade. Her math is way up as well but one of the best changes has been her desire to go to school. Last year we had so many days (3+ weekly) where it was a fight to get her to go to school to the point she developed stomach issues from the stress. This year she has nearly perfect attendance an is just so excited to go each day. The school does a great job of giving personal attention and feed back, we get frequent calls and emails home telling us of her progress and how proud and excited they are for her which is just always great to hear. This school has also started a sort of emotional intelligence class as a weekly elective type thing, similar to PE or music class, such a cool idea and really helpful at this age. Last thing- I have another daughter the same age who attends a Dieringer school, probably the most sought after district around- and this Pioneer has been eclipsing them on all fronts.

Pioneer is an amazing school. Since selecting a new principal, the school has become a wonderful place for learning. They have the most specialists AND the new school is amazing! I can't recommend this school enough!

My daighter attended Kindergarten here last year and is just starting first grade this year. She loves the faculty and staff at this school. They care about students, make her feel safe and support her learning really well. The principal is great with the kids, and are the kindergarten and first grade teachers. I am glad that she can attend this school.

Pioneer Elementary has a new principal and the new environment is amazing. Teachers here are some of the best in the district, if not the state. Since this school will also be getting a new building in 2021, it's definitely a school worth attending.

My children just started at Pioneer this year. The teachers and staff are rude and bully the kids. There is zero parent involvement and no communication about how my child is doing other than being told I will find out at report cards. I will be transferring them after this year and will gladly drive them so they won't have to go to Pioneer.

My daughter loves this school and the staff and so do i. As a parent its great to know that my child is happy and safe. I get regular notification about what is going on within the school and parents are invited to activities. Its such a wonderful campus. Beautiful too.

This school has a great academic program that gives every student to chance to grow and reach their full potential. They have regular testing and notifies parents monthly. I have been in many districts and seen many kids and I feel good about my kids playing with these kids. The school also offers healthy snacks and promotes exercise daily. I do have problems with the school staff. I have reported issues to the office staff to relay to the principle regarding a teacher's inappropriate comments, discipline, and lack of knowledge of the laws regarding bullying; those concerns never reached the principal but did reach the teacher. It is important for all staff to ensure teachers take accountability and be watched if a parent feels a class is being mistreated. This was not the case. Also my 7 year old child was tardy and forced to sweep the grounds by the office staff with out my knowledge. All disciplines and reasons are listed in the handbook and parents are to be notified prior for the option of due process. Proper protocol was not followed nor was the tardiness punishable by on grounds chores. That punishment is 1 step before suspension for serious infractions.

We must all agree education starts in the home, but must also understand the importance of parents and teachers working together as an educational team. What are we willing to do to create those very important links between home and school and break done the barriers that keep our parents out of our school. Parent Involvement is key in the education of our kids.
