The teachers push the children to their full potential, and they work together as a team within the school, for your children to have a decent experience. Very pleased with the education for my child.

The teachers here really care about the students. All grades operate a level above. By the time our son and daughter graduates from kindergarten they will be on a first grade level. My son can already read on a 4th grade level now and his math and other classes are on a first grade level. Our daughter is 2 and can say her abc's , colors, shapes and can count to 20. Don't let negative reviews prevent you from giving this school a chance. Its not perfect and no one can please everyone but when it comes.to education and Preparation for the next level its better than a lot of "top" private schools. There are children of other races and ethnicity that attend as well. If I had to guess I would say about 5%

My daughter is currently at JLC and the staff is the reason why this place is so amazing. I am always thankful for the kindness and professionalism I have experienced while interacting with all of the staff. The teachers are dedicated and loving, the owners are there everyday giving, loving and overseeing the administration of the little ones. I have m et people who work in Kasim Reids office, the mayor of atlanta that went to JLC, as well as young 20 somethings that are entrepreneurs that attended as well. Very impressive.I love JLC, sorry to leave them as this is my daughters final year. My daughter is in honors classes and the children that attend are equally as wonderful, the parents who elect to send their children to JLC will know what it feels like to have extended family watching over their children. Every teacher knows all the children by name and that is just a matter of personal touch. So thankful for the blessing of this place! The Cortez Family

Kudos to Mrs. Johnson for selling grades 1-4 (Christine Elizabeth Academy) to Norman and Rondah Thomas. They have already made some much needed updates and the curriculum is very challenging. Students are being taught at least one grade level above and are performing at a very high level. The buildings and grounds are much improved and they take pride in the upkeep of the premises. The staff is professional and welcoming and my daughter absolutely loves learning. Wonderful educational environment!

Johnson's provides a great education. My daughter started JLC at 3 and is now in the Pre K class. She is challenged academically and loves school. She is reading and it is very obvious they are preparing her for Kindergarten. They have high expectations for achievement as well as behavior. Overall my experience has been great. And while every environment needs improvement I do not feel that things overshadow the awesome learning and nurturing that happens at JLC.

JLC is AWESOME! If you care about pretty desks and chairs, go somewhere else. If what you want is GREAT teachers in a challenging and supportive learning environment, combined with discipline, structure and a respect for the value of a great education, then Johnson's Learning Center is where you want to be. My daughter entered the school in Kindergarten and was behind all the other students who had been there for years. Within months she was caught up, and by the end of the school year she was at the top of her class.

My daughter is currently in grade K at JLC, and she has been at JLC for 3 years (since age 3). At first, JLC takes some getting used to. The school has been in the community over 30 years, and the owner, Mrs. P. Johnson, lets you know that it is basically her way or the highway. However, the education is exceptional. I am an educator, and I compare my child with other children her age. She is far more advanced in all areas including rdg/wrtg, math, critical thinking, & articulating her thoughts. There is a lot of hmwk! Parents have expressed a major dropoff when their children transition into public schools. I feel my daughter is receiving a priceless foundation that will propel her in the future. The parents at JLC are middle-to-upper middle class, w/many being educators. There is exceptional parental involvement from both parents. The children are also taught to have pride in their culture. The teachers/staff are very strict, but nuturing. I love the fact that majority of the staff has been there well over 20 years; thus, providing the children w/stability. It feels as if I'm leaving my daughter w/her grandma or auntie. I know she is in loving & caring hands at JLC.

8-10-11 The school may have an outstanding review as it relates to education, but the administration is less than desirable. The Owner's family members have a reputation for being rude and discourteous I finally witness and encounter today first hand.(had heard a lot of compaints but never experienced it first hand). I observed the most inappropriate interaction with a child and parent that had me baffled. I truly appreciate the great demand for this school, however, depicting this kind of behavior is not indicative of Johnson's Learning Center because it reputation about education is held in such high esteem. It would appear to me that the school should exercise the same values if not more as it relates to educating a young child with humility and respect, ultimatley this is a Business. Henceforth, not sure if I will be recommending this facility to other perspective parents/students.
