The teachers here act nice around the parents but as soon as the parents walk away the teachers want to be yelling at the kids sometimes some teachers throw hands with the students and even tell the kids that they won't make it anywhere in life. some teachers do take the time to work with the students to make sure they have a thorough understanding of the lesson. My sister went to this school and she got bodyshamed for the way she looked. the other students were calling her nasty names like "donkey" and "monkey" and anytime she told the staff they did not do ANYTHING.

Our experience as first time student and parents, this year has been awesome. The teachers and staff are very dedicated to the students and the level of education the students receive. They cater to each of the students needs based on their learning style. My daughter loved her old school but she says she loves her new school as well. Imhotep Academy has a family oriented feel. Everyone is nice and friendly. Both the Director, Mr. Harris, and Principle, Dr. Harris know each of the students and parents by name, and to me that says a lot. The school is small but has a huge presence. The administration has taken extra precautions implementing extreme measures to combat the COVID-19 virus by installing hands-free faucets and soap dispensers, installed sanitizer stations, nightly UV-C and ozone sanitation, in classroom UV air sanitizers, multiple outdoor mask breaks, high touch surfaces wipes down throughout the day, and so much more. They are following the CDC guidelines and going above and beyond to protect the kids and staff. I highly recommend Imhotep Academy, the home of awesome students.

Imhotep is the best thing that my wife and I did for our boys. The foundation that the school gave them in grades K-3rd grade gave them the ability to qualify for the gifted program at their local public school. The challenging and rigorous curriculum will set your child up for success in the future.

I have had all three of my children at this school from PreK through 8th Grade giving a combined 33 years of education at this amazing school. The amazing foundations laid by rigorous academics and caring teachers is second to none. Choosing this school is one of the best things I have ever done for my children.

This is an awesome school that more than prepares your child for not only school, but gives a great foundation for life. The school's students consistently test 2 or more grades above their own. They have a strong sense of self. They learn in the classroom, as well as through field trips. There are a significant amount of activities including Robotics, Spelling Bee Club, Art, Music, Debate, Basketball, Cheerleading, Choir, etc. I love this school and would recommend it to anyone.

My son started this year, Pre-K 3. I am impressed with where he is academically and socially. He loves going to school. He is learning about himself, heritage and learning to read already. The staff is loving. It will be great for my son to graduate from high school with the other students in his class, they are so close and wonderful for each other. Over all, a great spirit at Imhotep Academy.

My husband and simply LOVE Imhotep Academy my daughter has attend since she was 3 yeas old she is now 9. The academics is fabulous. They challenge the students on a daily basis. Everyday is a teachable moment at Imhotep. The children are taught not be afraid and try are capable of doing so many things. The information my child is learning in elementary school did not happen for until I was in high school. It takes a village to raise a child that is what Imhotep is offering. Thank you for who you are.

I am a current parent of a 3rd grader at Imhotep and I PROUDLY support the endeavors of the committed parents of this school. As I watch my son go through the doors of Imhotep every morning...I breathe a sigh of relief because I'm confident in the education that he is receiving and that I'm leaving him with an administration that treats him like he belongs to them. When it is time for my son to apply to a preparatory high school, no one is going to ask "WHO REMODELED YOUR 3RD GRADE CLASSROOM?" But..they will ask about his TEST SCORES! This administration provides an environment where PROVEN academic excellence is the standard..not the exception and they have done it for 20 years! I applaud the teachers, the administration and the parents of Imhotep!

This school has been the best educational experience for my children, especially my boys. The expectations for learning is high and students are pushed to excel in a nurturing and family-oriented environment.

Please don't waste your/child's time or money. The school lacks a strong admin. The admin is afraid to let the teachers use technology. Most of the teachers lack passion and creativity. Parents had to basically fund to remodel a classroom so that 2nd/3rd grade could have their own space.( The school had the parents pay 100% of the cost) The school has a high turn over rate. Can't seem to keep good teachers!
