I currently have 2 students enrolled at Aston Elementary and a son who went there previously. I can not say enough great things about the terrific staff and the extremely positive environment this school offers.

What a community! I love the families that my son goes to school with. When we started kindergarten last year, I didn't know anyone at all because we aren't originally from the area. I started going to the PTL meetings to help get involved to help make it a great community- AND SO DID EVERYONE ELSE (there are at LEAST 30 new families in the PTL from this year ALONE.) In the past year, these wonderful people have taken an already great school and enhanced and improved every program that we can impact (holiday parties, fund raising, social media publicity, social nights, shows, publishing student work, whatever!)Mrs. Phillips, the principal, is accessible, helpful, and knows her stuff. She supports the parents- and we support her. This is a tough time in education (with common core and standards based grading) and she encourages us to be present and ask questions so we can all be involved in the school- and THAT is what makes it successful. I just attended my son's class to sit in for American Education Week and the school was packed. Our long term sub Mrs. Owens (in for Mrs. DeLong) planned a fun, active, and engaging lesson for the first graders. She was kind and she helped the student learn and have fun in an age-appropriate way. I can't wait for my other two kids to go to Aston Elementary to be Rockets! (Well, I can because my babies are growing too fast!!!!)

I love, love, love this school. Our PTL is amazing, excellent group of ladies that I'm proud to call my friends. Our principal is amazing and she really knows each child personally.
