All these staff members took into consideration the child and managed to handle them in the way that best fit the child's learning experience.

As a former student who recently graduated, I can't say the standards at Mapleton are very high. Don't get me wrong, there are a few great teachers there, and there are definitely benefits to it being a small school. But a portion of the staff are just immature and unprofessional, and it gets in the way of learning sometimes. There is much more value placed on athletics than there is on the education itself, or the arts, which is good if you're an athlete, but it sucks for everyone else. That said, Mapleton gives you a decent education that will be good enough to get to college on, but personally, my experience there wasn't too positive (though that definitely varies depending on the activities you're involved in.)
