This is a truly excellent school. Having personally attended schools in a large city, I think other reviewers may have a distorted idea of what happens at your average large city schools on a daily basis. I have one child currently attending and another to join soon. The small town atmosphere, community involvement and the leadership of the school are most appealing to me.

I have had several kids go through this school and have not been very impressed. There are staff members who are quite caring and professional towards the children and others that respond quite inappropriately to the various things that can come up at this age level. I would avoid this school if I had a choice and am actually currently researching local private schools. This is my 5th child going into this school and I'm just beyond disappointed. As a young person I attended junior high and I must say, the caliber of teacher was definitely up to par and they treated us with respect and dignity, but firmness and I always respected that. That being said, I further DO NOT agree with moving 6th graders to the middle school level, completely inappropriate developmental wise and obviously the staff do not have the capacity to have patience for them.

I am a student at Post, and have attended this school for two years. I will be enetering the eighth grade this year. I find, that the school is very clique oriented, but is friendly enough to take you in, and make you feel welcome. Contrary to what others might say, our administration is fabulous. Mr.Walker, and Mr.Boatman handle issue's nicely, and don't ashame the student by making a big deal about it outside of the office. Most teachers are wonderful, though I have sat through many classes that I dreaded coming to, (all of us have.) In Post, you can expect a great learning environment. With so many kids in a classroom, you need to open your ears and listen to what the teacher is saying... at the age we are at, we don't listen as well as we should, which is why we fail classes. This school, again, has a fabulous faculty, and as long and you try your hardest, you will succeed. Luckily, trying your hardest is all they ask ;) Check out this school if you are considering moving to Arlington! Go Falcons!
