Great schools has mistakenly merged reviews from a totally separate APS school onto the Innovation page.Innovation opened in Fall 2021 as a brand new school so any reviews before that date can be disregarded. Those older reviews are for Arlington Science Focus School (ASFS). ASFS Great Schools page has mysteriously disappeared. My son looks forward to going to school every single day and that is what matters most! He loves his teachers and has settled in so quickly in spite of being an introvert and being new to the country. Kids' opinions are respected and valued. Differences are celebrated. Kids have freedom to express themselves and be who they are.

We arrived in USA in August 2021 and our daughter didn’t know one word in English. She started to speak English in three months. She loves the school, the friends and teachers. Nobody treated her as an foreign and her quickly adaptation helped our family environment succeed. My only wish is that school could have homework so we could have more guidance to study with her at home.

This school is filled with teachers and staff that love what they do and it reflects positively on the kids. I’m amazed at how much they actually care. Also, the community is great with many parents involved to support school activities. Makes a huge difference when parents can be involved.

I am surprised with the rating of this school. We relied on this rating and moved to Arlington so that our child can attend a great school. I have no complain about the school curriculum or teachers. My son loves his teacher. The problem is the school has so many holidays. Most weeks are 3 or 4 day schools. If it snows on a Monday, the school will be closed for a whole week (even if the road are completely clear after two days!) and they have no online plans for kids. I feel that when school is open, my child is learning something, but there are too many school closures for various reasons with no plans for kids.

Mrs. Begley is phenomenal. She connects with the students, really has her finger on the pulse, and goes above and beyond helping families in difficult situations. The teachers are warm and caring. The PTA is very involved - we absolutely love it here.
