We have had a wonderful experience at Barcroft. It has been our experience that small class sizes (in some cases less than 20) and hardworking and motivated teachers and administrators have created a great school culture and learning environment that is inclusive and welcoming and celebrates the diversity of backgrounds of the students. Don’t let the great schools ranking fool you - this is an excellent school.

Bad, I wish I have the financial means to move to a different area and give my kids a better shot for their education

We have been very happy with the quality of the teachers at Barcroft and the level of engagement and support they bring. Obviously the test scores bring the overall rating down but take a step in the building and talk with any staff, you'll see. Also, I know my son has benefitted from the diversity amongst his friends and classmates.

The modified school calendar, the 9am start time and true community feel are just a few of the wonderful aspects of this wonderful little elementary school. If you have the opportunity to move to Arlington, Barcroft is a hiddem gem located really close to Washington, DC. Your child will get caring staff and a wonderful community without having to move to the suburbs or over-priced North Arlington.

Supportive teachers and caring community of families all of which are fostered by our principal! I love the modified school year calendar. Having intercession classes in the fall and spring are an added bonus to the regular curriculum.

We moved into this neighborhood before we had children. We just got lucky that Barcroft Elementary is our school! I am always impressed with how the teachers and staff work with the uniqueness and general needs of our children! My children love learning, still! They are in 4th and 1st. That is a gift and they are always safe! Being a Title 1 school also offers our whole community a beautiful range of resources that teach us all how to learn together. Our modified school calendar is brilliant!
