Both of my daughter's have attended Merryhill from the time they were 3 months old. Now three and in 2nd grade I can not say enough about the atmosphere they have grown up in. Merryhill has helped us create our village and connected us with families that share the same values and standards we have in the education of our girls. The staff is consistent (some with 20-30 years of tenure at the school) and nurturing. The small class sizes allow for individualized care and attention to each child's needs. We love all the special programming and events; like daughter dances, multi-cultural night, touch a truck and many more. The school has rigorous standards for academics and encourages parental involvement. We can not think of a better place for our family!

Great! I love Merryhill School in Arlington. My daughters enjoy and love their teachers. The teachers try to meet their needs and attend to them and all the other students. If I have a problem I just communicate with the teachers, Preschool Director, or Principal and they will do their best to take care of it.

We enrolled our infant in this school due to the “good reviews” and its proximity to our home… WHAT AN AWFUL MISTAKE we made! The teachers:In the infant class, there are 2 teachers per 10 students… They are broken into 5 per…These teachers take these 5 per VERY SERIOUSLY….. Well, we enrolled our then 7 month old into the school… Since it was her first day there, I called frequently to check on her and was reassured that we was doing okay…. Her dad popped in to check on her since he felt the teacher wasn’t as attentive as she should have been when he dropped her off…. Well, thank GOD he did! He found her sitting in the middle of the class crying and her eye blood red meaning she had been crying for AWHILE! He noticed one teacher was just standing chatting with the other teacher that was changing one of the kids… when asked why she wasn’t picking her up or soothing her, he said she was one of the other teachers babies…. When my husband left to return back to work, she started crying AGAIN… This was a surprise to us because she came from another daycare that we left due to proximity to the house…. She was used to being dropped up and had no issues….. Later, I went to go check on her because of the report he gave me…. Again I found her crying by herself in the middle of the room…. Again I too asked why another teacher wasn’t consoling her and was told that she belong to another teacher…. I should mention here that there are two classrooms that share their area…. They are divided by a half wall….. When I attempted to leave, she cried so hard she threw up on herself! We made the decision to take alternative days off that week and kept her home while looking for another daycare….. When I returned to pick up her things, they had already packed it in a trash bag, note this was without me prompting them to do so, and went to the principal’s office to go grab it. The office staff: The principle had zero interest to inquire as to what took place and why after paying for a full week, our child spent one day and wouldn’t be returning! Till this day, they owe us $10 bucks that they have yet to pay back and keep telling us it is being mailed… It has now been over a year and we have YET to see that money. You could NOT pay be to return to this place that should not be called a school… I’d go after their license if I had the time to invest.

Merryhill School in Arlington is truly a diamond in the ruff. They offer an awesome academic experience for each child. They also foster good citizenship and encourage the older kids to be responsible for their work. You will not be disappointed if you enroll your child in Merryhill. rw

My daughter has been attending this school since she was 16 months old. She will be 5 in April. I love the principal Michelle, she shows a sincere concern if any issues arise and gets right on the ball. She also takes out time to listen to what you have to say. The academics here are amazing in a group of children the same age as my daughter you can tell the difference especially when it comes to sentence structure, she is very much advanced. She is now recognizing simple words out of books. My daughter knows most of the teachers and they always greet her with a hug some evern kiss her! I am impressed with this school.

My child has been at Merryhill since he was 18 mos old in their daycare. They have provided quality care, teachers and a quality education. I love the small classes and the teacher's ability to work one-on-one with the kids as needed. I wish Merryhill would extend there programs beyond sixth grade, we will sadly miss our Merryhill family following graduation....

My daughter has attended Merryhill for over a year and just completed Kindergarten. Their Kindergarten program was by far the best I have seen. My daughter enjoys going to school every day and loves her teachers and the staff at Merryhill. I love to hear all of the teachers and staff say good morning to her when we come in and not just good morning to me. It shows that they really care about her.
