My son has moved schools several times, and is currently at Laureate (began at Metro prep, same campus, just different programming based more on sensory needs). Both Metro Prep and Laureate have been a dream come true. The parent-teacher/counselor communication is prompt, thorough, and friendly!! I truly feel part of the team.. They have offered my son so many supports of all kinds, they are patient and consistent with him. He has a lot of energy, and also unfortunately aggression, but they always do an incredible job with him. I am incredibly happy that these schools exist, I can't imagine anything better. Even asking my son, he has zero complaints about staff or the school itself. As he has moved schools so many times, I can confidently compare this experience with past schools, and say this is literally the best.

Very bad experience ! Poor communication with staff. Principal and vice principal are an ignorants with poor manners. A lot of insane punishment for unexpected behavior ( example :skipping gym) .Punishment, punishment and again punishment. They cause more trauma then help.I will always regret my decision to enroll in this school. Keep your child away from this place.

My son has PTSD from his experience at Metro Prep. If your child has noncompliance due to anxiety, this is not the place for them.

I love this school. I went here from 8th grade till I graduated from high school. They changed my life. I went from failing my 7th grade year to graduating with all a's and b's an it's due to all the helpful staff that they have. Definitely recommend this school

This school needs to explain to parents in full detail exactly what the quiet room is and exactly what they plan to do with your child when you leave them there. If your child becomes escalated in behavior in any way, they will lock them in a 5 by 4 room and let them kick and scream until they calm down. They need more training on deescalating people without locking them into a room. Plus, they need to be more forthcoming with parents about what they do there.

i went to this school from 7th till i graduated the people there really care i luved my therapists and teacher they help u so much makes u want to do better for urself if u have a chance to send ur child there take it they justmight change for the better they'll make life long friends and get to know people that in normal schools they wud never have a chance to know grous are fun computer class is always kool i luvd not havin to fight for teachers help on anything they r there for u in anyway u need them to be
