This is a great school and the teachers make you feel like family. Both my boys loved the staff here! The special education program is exceptional! They take safety at the school very seriously and work hard to make everyone feel safe.

This school is the absolute worst!!! They do nothing to the kids doing the bullying, they favoritism students, they do not watch nor listen to the kids what so ever. And are clueless to what is really going on in there school!!! Very disappointing.

I have my third child going through this school. The first one dealt with a learning disability and the school did everything they could to help him. There was even a teacher that had retired that came back to speak on his behalf to the committee that decides which students get classified with a learning issue. My second child at Horizons was subject to some bullying and the school took care of it right away. Ms. Brice and the teachers were amazing!! As my third child is at Horizons, in 2016 we had a family tragedy, the student lost her brother and the school went above and beyond to be supportive. The principal (Ms. Brice) and her teacher and guidance counselor came to our house to check on the student and our family. They also came to the funeral. To show that much commitment, passion, and empathy for a single student dealing with a death in the family was something I have never experienced before. I have talked to people who are thinking about moving to the Appleton area and I plead with them to move to the area to be able to go to Horizons because of how amazing they are. We have run into the principal at the local grocery store, and she remembers the kids names (even those that have moved on to high school and middle school). If Ms. Brice were ever to leave Horizons, I would seriously consider moving into the school district she moves to!!

This is a wonderful well rounded school. There are always extra activities & various clubs to keep your kids focused and excited about school. The teachers are that I know take a personal interest in your children and are excited to teach and see them learn. It's just a really great school w/ nice families, great teachers, awesome involved principal and an afterschool school program thru- the Y thats 2nd to none as far as I am concerned.
