Chaparral Jr/Sr High School is a great school with wonderful teachers, administrators, and support staff. There is a strong Transition to Career Program which focuses on exposing students to different career options. There are many clubs, sports, and activities for students to be involved in. There is also a great Mental Health Team that supports students mental health needs.

I have had my children in this school district for over 15 years. I am so disappointed in our high school. As far as an anti-bullying school, no. When teachers instigate, and participate in the bullying, there’s definitely not an anti-bullying program in place. And as far as learning...if you just want a school that just pushes your child through, then that’s what you’ll get.(My oldest child said she felt so unprepared when she went to college.) If you have a child with any learning disabilities, it will be a constant struggle to get any help out of the staff. There are a few teachers that are good, but as a whole, they’re just there to fill a position. If it takes any extra effort for the staff to do something, more than likely it won’t happen. Accountability is also a big problem there. I wish we would have had the ability to take our children to another school, but it just wasn’t an option. I’m sorry to say it, but the school is a total failure, and needs a complete overhaul.
