My children have attended at least 5 years each; one is currently in Middle School. They each have had great experiences with their teachers and lessons. There was one "passable" teacher back in 3rd grade but that has been resolved with a replacement. "A" for all others. Small class sizes have been beneficial. CMT scores are great for each year and my Middle Schooler is in both honors math and english. My kids are bright, but they can't excel on their own. A good school, a good breakfast, enough sleep, parent participation (make the time for your kids sake) and discipline are all important. While I personally liked the former music and gym teachers, the new ones add an extra zap of freshness & energy the kids all seem to enjoy even more. I have heard concerns about children needing extra help, but have not had experience with it myself. I do see children getting one on one help during the day whenever I go in. I don't know that parents are helping at home also?

My child has been in the school for the past three years. Fortunately, we have had an excellent experience. We have found the teachers to be caring and thoughtful while trying to teach the students. The first question I always ask myself is what can I do to help my child or the school? Did I feed my child breakfast? Did I insure they are ready for the day? Teachers should not have to pick up the slack for parents who are forgetful. I do it myself, but by trying to help them, I hope they realize I am an involved parent. It is a community that raises children. We must all realize our impact upon the town.
