Staff do not how to appropriately communicate with students.Very unorganized and unprofessional.Gang assumptions are very inappropriate, Anderson High School principal is very two faced and can’t seem to be real about anything.Staff yes yet to be supportive or make anyone feel wanted.Anderson High School has yet to have a teacher who has made a student feel that they care for them and do what the student needs from them as a teacher.It’s very frustrating when teachers care less about you or about your grade.The teachers at Anderson High school do not put any effort to talk about if the student fails or not they put in no effort.With that the whole school is not an enjoyable environment for anybody.The assumptions that the principal has made against students about mental health has done nothing make others feel bad about them self’s.I feel that it is very important for a child to have a stable and supportive environment where they feel respected and feel comfortable enough to come to a staff member if they are having trouble.This school absolutely has done the complete opposite of that.Very embarrassing of how unprofessional that adults can be.I would not recommend Anderson High School at all.

My son is doing exceptionally well at this school in my opinion. I attended Anderson when I was in high school and there are many new programs and assistance since I was there almost 20 years ago. I am proud to say that they have improved their programs and they seem to have a good counseling team to support the goals of students. The teachers have responded well to my son who is driven to complete work. I have heard that some teachers do not respond well to students who may not be as motivated and this is an area that could be improved. Although at this point these are youth who will soon be adults and they have to own their education and buy into their progress. Well done Anderson, I am happy to say I would give you high scores in teaching my kiddo!

The school is turning into something I don't like. Lack of proper and fair rules creates problems between students and staff. Lack of good and positive coaching creates problems with athletes which is continuously lowering the number of athletes trying out. I have seen the varsity boys basketball coach tell an athlete how bad they are at sports and should never play again. This school also lacks leadership and school spirit. Less and less students are attending extra-curricular activities and events like school dances, sports games, and even school rallies (a good example of bad leadership and commitment is the class of 2019 refusing to set up prom for the class of 2018. The supervising staff member also refused to encourage kids to help leading the class of 2018 to set everything up them selves). Teachers at this facility grade students based on judgement of students character and not work ethic. Students could ace a test but receive a "C" due to "lack of work" or "failing to pay attention". If you would like my honest opinion of this school, I would highly recommend sending your child to a different school if you want them to gain proper social and leadership skills.
