How dare you keep a stellar student from walking across the stage at graduation over facial hair? Like really I swear K-12 educators are the stupidest people on the planet. Who was this student hurting with his goatee? What did it matter. 4.0 GPA and he couldn't march over facial hair? He's a young man with a bright future and you disrespected everything that he worked so hard for. Why do you want so much control over what student's do with their own bodies? His facial hair was and is none of your business. I hope that whoever did this is thoroughly reprimanded.

Amite high leaves alot to be desired. My child has been attending this school for 4 years now, and she is not prepared for college at all!! They need new teachers. The teachers we have had in the last couple of yrs were terrible and lazy. One in particular would allow the kids to cheat on papers and test. I would stay away from from the high school.

My school may not be the best, but it is a good school. People try to make Amite High School out of the worst school in the parish, but I strongly disagree with that. We do learn and our teachers and other administrators are working hard to install knowledge into our minds. Our school scores are also improving. Amite High School is not what people try to make it seem! If we could gain support from our community and others, I think it will improve even more. We need people who care! I love my school!
