Toddler teachers are not trained to be patient enough to handle young kids. One of the staff member dealt with my 2 years old grandson roughly to level where he dislocated his arm and ended up in the ER for 7 hours. Owner is protective of her staff for their mishandling of the children. Not a safe environment.

My son just completed his first year at Datzyk Montessori in the toddler classroom. Throughout the year he acquired many noticeable new skills as well a sense of pride as he grew more autonomous. I knew he was in good hands because he would always happily tell me about what he played with, the work he did, and the songs he sang that day. Getting out the door in the morning was rarely a battle because he always “happy to go to school” as he would say at breakfast. His teachers, the leadership team, as well as the rest of the staff at school were always warm and welcoming. We are leaving Datzyk but only because we are moving out of state. Otherwise, I would be more than happy for our son to continue his schooling there. We have been happy with our experience (and, more importantly, our son’s experience) at Datzyk Montessori.

Datzyk and its pathetic leadership are simply resting on their laurels…the reputation it built from the 1960s, many years before there were other options in Montessori education or other private facilities. They have only gone downhill from their glory days and are no longer entitled to claim a good reputation. Several of their “teachers” are not even formally trained educators, and none of them is specifically Montessori trained (other than a basic course to certify, if even that). I encourage you to read the reviews here. Because this school can self-select its student body, they expect all of their students to be cookie cutter clones. If your child is not a robot who follows the instructions of their inexperienced teachers to a T, or non-conformist in any way, they will tell you "We're just not equipped to handle that." Then, all of the blame and responsibility will fall on the child and the parents, as this school will not make any modifications to their tired, old, rigid curriculum and methodology. If your child has a personality, emotions, and a mind of their own, DO NOT send them to this school. This is a factory for children whose behavior, thoughts, and emotions never stray outside of the box. This school is not equipped to handle children with any sort of personality or free thought, which is completely averse to the true Montessori Method. Shame on them; Maria Montessori advocated that any child or person, regardless of developmental delays, learning disabilities, or other classic "statistical outliers" can still be supported and educated. This school, and its Director in particular, are cold, rigid, rude and dismissive. They are not able to strategize nor problem solve in any meaningful way. There's is a "take it or leave it" philosophy. If your child doesn’t conform (we’re talking about toddlers here!) they will “make an example” out of him, shame him in front of other students, and leave him to feel all of the pain and rejection from that for months after leaving this dreadful place. Find anywhere else to take your children. My kid hated every single day of going there and I wish I would have listened.

Our 2.5 year old son currently attends DMS. We have watched him grow and flourish there, asking to go to school on weekends and holidays because he misses it so much. Dr. Soni took him under her wing during summer session when she knew that it was his first time away from home and it made us feel so much more at ease knowing he was in her care. He has gained independence and structure, and comes home happy every day. We couldn’t ask for more!

Our son is currently enrolled in this school and I must say that they are one of the best in the LV. They are patient, kind and focused with all of the children in their program. Their teachers are absolutely wonderful and my son is always happy and smiling when he leaves for the day! He is learning so much and becoming quite the independent guy.

Our child was picked up by his grandmother last month and was found to have a dislocated elbow upon pickup. This injury is referred to as ‘nursemaid’s elbow’ and is a common early childhood injury. We spent several hours in the ER and were ultimately able to have the elbow reduced. This was the first time that this type of injury occurred with our son.We nevertheless sent our child back to school since we were aware that the injury is common in children his age and was most likely accidental. We trusted that he was cared for and in a positive environment. He attended school for a few more days following the injury before our first (and only) face-to-face meeting with his teachers.During the meeting, his lead teacher informed us of her refusal to provide adequate and unbiased care for our son. We had requested this meeting immediately after the incident and thought we were going to discuss what happened to his elbow and how to try to prevent recurrence without any intention of blaming anyone. We were completely shocked when we were subsequently asked to withdraw him from the school. We are extremely displeased with how this situation was handled and are letting you know because the school’s complete rejection of accountability after injury followed by refusal to provide care. We expected better from the administrators and such a reputable school. We have agreed to withdraw our son from the school for his safety. We suspect they have a long wait list that they are eager to fill. Do not recommend.

Our daughter attended Datzyk for Kindergarten and we were beyond impressed with the growth and learning she had while there. This school has a very strong foundation in the Montessori theories of learning and utilizes them to not only teach the children academics but to build good character as well. I commend the teachers and staff on navigating through very uncertain times during the pandemic to foster an environment that was both conducive to learning and fun. The passion for children is alive at this school and we are so grateful to have been apart of the Datzyk community.

First they charge higher fees also they expect lots of charities and help as volunteer with school work, this all are ok and we did everything they ask for but they expect robotic behavior from your child, it means if your child does little bit here and there then they literally scaled your child, they are also saying that your child need doctors help may be he has autism syndrome and all stupid things, they don’t support parents, they judge every kid, compare them and their food types and their religion too, kids are playing always out side even if it’s very bad winter or summer, my child was always seek ,my child was there for 2 years so the way they complain about your child will make you believe them there is really something wrong and you will be confused that child behaves fine at home with you and why school is complaining but becoz of schools past good reputation you will believe them , it took two years to figure this out that they are not as good as they used to be with previous owners, one day my child fell down from their sliders top and they didn’t call us right away and as my child stopped crying after some times they thought he is fine and decided to let us know later on, they have two teachers in each class but when kids are out side teachers sit and chat and don't take care of kids, teacher will never say what's good in your child they always complain about your child ,old teachers with old mentality, one day I caught the principal was scolding my child very badly and he was crying so much, when we saw this we decided to quit with this school. there are so many people who had this problem and quit. pathetic old school with none sense education and teachers, it used to be good ones but not any more, so please be aware parents.

Datzyk Montessori is an excellent school and our daughter flourished while she was there. The teachers are skilled and caring, and the school is well run. Parents are encouraged to get involved as much as they can. It is simply a wonderfully positive environment that enables children to learm and grow.
