All 3 of my children have attended this school starting in 2009 to present (2005). We have always had a great experience with teachers and staff. No school is going to be perfect. But Vaughan comes close.

So my son was an overflow student! He then transferred back to Vaughn so I get to compare a little bit as to why Vaughn is so sought after.Anyway! My son is in kindergarten and he’s autistic and they have done a FANTASTIC job with accommodating to him and he LOVES loves looooves his teacher. He’s only been here for 2 weeks and he’s already progressing academically faster than the previous school and having less/almost no accidents (he has incontinence).Buuuuuut I do have a couple of minor issues…my son no longer wants to go to school and he’s my “book worm”. He loooooves school and then I noticed sort of an attitude from a couple of staff members who he has to see daily and seemingly not wanting to help him unlike the other school who were hands on amazing with their kindness and patience.I understand it’s not fun, but as a 5 year old autistic sweet boy, I know he feels their lack of care and it hurts his feelings.Luckily it’s not like a huge or major issue quite yet and hopefully it’s something we can grow out of since he’s still fairly new to this school.

This elementary school is single-handedly the worst in the Allen ISD district. The teachers and staff bully and mistreat the students daily, creating a toxic and hostile learning environment. The administration's lack of support and empathy exacerbates the problem, leaving the students feeling helpless and discouraged. Every year my kids have gone here, the teachers have treated them with disrespect and disdain, undermining their self-esteem and hindering their academic progress. Additionally, the school's outdated facilities and limited resources hinder the students' ability to thrive and succeed. It is disheartening to witness this school's negative impact on my children's education and overall well-being. They exhibit favoritism based on students in the GATE program - from better classrooms to a safer learning environment. This favoritism only adds to the feelings of helplessness and discouragement among students, as they witness their peers receiving preferential treatment while they are left behind.

We've been on 10 campuses in Allen and Vaughan is by far our favourite. The staff know each of our children and what they need not only to succeed but to thrive and love school. Communication with parents is great and the PTA makes you want to be part of the many Vaughan traditions. We love this school and will continue our children's elementary education on this campus.

This elementary school is fantastic! 6 years ago I bought a house in this neighborhood so my children could attend this elementary school. I joined the PTA at Vaughan and have not left. I have 4 more years to be involved. This year Vaughan celebrates 25 years!
