This school is the worst. The assistant principal is two face. If your kid is getting bullied they save will take care of it but they will not. Even if the kids come up and tell them . The teacher well not do anything. Looking in to home schooling my kids anything is better then going to a school that lets Your kid get treated this way.

I think this school has the most horrible fourth grade I have ever seen. The two teachers are an atrocity for the students that may not catch on as quick as others. And God forbid if your child has the flu and requires being absent for several days. My daughters teacher told me that it wasn’t her problem that my daughter fell behind and surely wasn’t her responsibility to help my child catch up with the rest of her class. Whatever she missed, whether she understood or not, was just tough luck! I just think they are pitiful teachers

My daughter was a new student there last year and now it's as if she has been knowing everyone her whole life. As a mother, I was concerned about her fitting in and making new friends. Silly concern because now she has so many friends, it's hard to keep up. The staff has been helpful, professional, patient, understanding and incredibly caring when discussing some of my daughters learning disabilities. She went from barely passing to honor roll. She used to cry every morning to stay home. Now she cries if she has to for some reason. I have no doubts, Poland Jr. High has given me hope that my daughter will get the best education and guidance I could ever ask for. And that is something every parent wants for their child

As a parent of two children that attend Poland Junior High School, I give it the highest possible recommendation. Each teacher that we have encountered has shown individual concern towards our kids and have been more than accommodating in every possible way. The principal is approachable, down-to-Earth and refreshingly honest in all matters. Although the physical building is a little dated, the staff [even including the maintenance personnel and bus drivers] has an overall delightful attitude of helpfulness and courtesy. Frankly, it seems many parents here just drop their kids off and expect the school to work miracles. The school can do a lot, but parental involvement definitely needs to increase. That responsibility rests with the parents, not Poland Junior High. Yes, bullying occurs everywhere. We have had an incident and some days are harder than others. But on the whole, I am surprised and pleased with this hidden jewel of the Rapides Parish School system. A close relative of mine has recently substituted at a few other Rapides Parish Junior High schools, and not only are they far worse, they are sickening. I say Go Poland Bulldogs!

I would not recommend poland school my daughter goes there and she is constantly being bullied and She went several times to the principal and the principal acted like it was her fault why she was getting bullied and I even called them several times and they did not do anything and the teachers act like they don't know what there doing and they are not organized.
