My rating is outdated, as I attended Wherry in 1997-1999. My most outstanding memory was of a teacher named Sarah Silverstein (if I recall correctly) who taught my first grade class. It was my first year in the country and I didn't speak much English, but she made sure I was right along with the rest of the class and in no time I was fluent. She's one of my very first memories of becoming an American, and I will always be thankful for her help. It is solely because of her that I give this school such a high rating, because without her I don't know where I'd be. Thank you for never giving up on me and helping me live up to my fullest potential! -Sara

It was interesting to read the previous ratings. As a staff member I have to (sadly) agree. The principal has low expectations and sighs continuously. There are a few excellent teachers but not near enough to serve these students. The one positive thing I have to say is the students are eager to learn and have so much potential. I hope one day the district sees that weak leadership is holding this school back.
