Legacy Academy in Albuquerque is a standout school that prioritizes academic excellence, character development, and community engagement. With dedicated teachers and a supportive environment, students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for future success. The school’s emphasis on faith-based values, strong leadership, and a rigorous curriculum fosters both intellectual and personal growth. Families appreciate the close-knit community and individualized attention that helps students thrive. Additionally, Legacy Academy offers extracurricular opportunities, such as sports and fine arts, that enhance student experience. If you’re looking for a school that combines strong academics with character-building, Legacy Academy is a great choice.

Legacy Academy provides an opportunity for students to serve the Lord while establishing an academic foundation for postsecondary education. The institution serves to foster a sense of community, respect, responsibility, and self-discipline amongst the students and staff as well.

We transferred our children to Legacy Academy at the beginning of covid, and it was the best decision we could have made. They had been in another private school most of their lives (and a public school for two years), and the difference was profound. My children truly love this school and are thriving academically, socially, and in their extracurricular activities. They had never felt so connected in a school before this. For a small private school, the sports, fine arts, and school-wide activities they offer are fantastic. They also have an honors class and started an Ap program. I have had only positive experiences over the last four years with teachers and administration, and I feel really blessed that we found this school.

We love Legacy Academy! Our child is doing great academically, and you can tell that the teachers are invested in each child and love helping them succeed. They put God first in all they do. I love that my child can pray in school and talk openly about God. When my son graduated Kindergarten last year he was at almost a third grade reading level. I believe this partly had to do with me working with him since he was young on Pre-K and letter sounds, but I know Legacy played a large role in this as well. I highly recommend Legacy Academy.

Worse than public school. Lots of bullies at this school, most are staff members children. Office lady is rude, and good luck if you need to talk to administration. The principal is a mute and the VP is only interested in bragging/talking about herself. My child is now behind thanks to the subpar academics and unqualified teachers. Thankfully, most kids are in the same boat due to the lockdown. The only thing this school is good for is their no mask policy.

My son was behind one whole grade level in reading while in New Mexico public schools. In 4 weeks time, one of the teachers at Legacy Academy took the time to give my son the one on one attention that was neglected for the past 2 years in public school. In only 4 weeks time, and intensive tutoring at Legacy Academy thankfully my son was able to reach grade level in reading. This school gives individual attention to each student whether they are accelerated, at level, or behind. In the public schools in New Mexico children are blanketed all into one level and treated "the same". The lack of resources given to the teachers, lack of motivation from the public school students to be accomplished and excelled, and attention to anything but academics (more interested in social emotional development then academics) in the state of New Mexico Public School System is a reason to run far from the public schools and check Legacy Academy out! The public schools in New Mexico are ranked 49th (second to worst in public education in the country). If you want the best for your child's future and education (and want them to be comparable to the rest of the children in the nation academically), than look no further and check this school out! It is the real deal in terms of academics and diversity. The classrooms are small. The children have a Spanish course starting in Kindergarten, music (violin, drums, guitar, piano, just to name a few), and chapel once a week. The faith based education is solid and the students learn real academics that are so lacking in the educational system today!

My daughter attending this school for 6 years. The education was great for elementary school but once she went up to middle school I feel that they did not have her as advanced as they say they are. Once we switched her out and had her tested into another school she was very behind and had no idea as to what the other school was going over. Also, many other students have been very behind even switching into public schools. The school requires a lot of money and I feel for that much money they should have more sports and be letting the students attain the best of their abilities when it comes to education. I would definitely not recommend this school to anyone.

This school has a wonderful music and fine arts program! The teachers are strict, sometimes a little overkill. Wish that sometimes they would allow these children to "Be children" and not expect them to be adults. Some expectations are truly not possible of such young children. The principal is young as mentioned in previous comments. I feel there is alot of room for improvement on her end as far as listening to her students and concerns from the parents. She tends to side in favor over her staff vs. concerns that parents/students bring to her and doesnt really take much action in getting concerns corrected. Curriculum is great, both my children love the chapel as it is very interactive.

I think the school overall is good. The teachers do their best to make sure students are learning and they reall do care about each student individually. They offer tutoring and extra attention if the student needs it. The principal is young with no real experience on leadership. She overlooks real issues unless they are money related that benefit the school. I think it is important to be able to successfully run your household before attempting to run an entire school. Maybe time to pass the torch. Other than lack of leadership by the leader, the curriculum is great. They use Bob Jones and A Bekka both of which are higher than public school standards.

I love this school! The caring environment that the teachers have stage for this student has allowed my boys to mature spiritually as well as academically. I love that they"re very strict on their no bulling policy and keep the students accountable for their unacceptable behavior. Respect for everyone is on top of their list, which all students are taught to abide by therefore, making it a wonderful experience for everyone. This school has set the mark of excellence for academics and well behaved students. Looking for a school that will compare to this one will be hard.
