My son started as Bosque this fall in 9th grade. It has been a wonderful experience. His classes are engaging, his teachers challenge him intellectually but also are available for any assistance that he might need, and the music and drama programs are fabulous. The school administration could not be more supportive or make themselves more available. Plus the school's campus is beautiful. It is an enriching, nurturing environment. I could not recommend it higher.

I initially penned a rave review of my child's experience when she enrolled in Bosque school, and I think it's time to report on her current experience, now headed into the eighth grade. The magic of Bosque resides in the mutual commitment by the "staffulty" to nurture the entirety of the student from a social, emotional and intellectual standpoint. With each coming year, my daughter has enjoyed participating in a wide array of clubs, sports and community outreach. She's established a reading tutoring partnership with an elementary school student, starred in school musicals and performances, played on tennis and volleyball teams, earned awards for mock trial, enjoyed hands-on environmental science projects in the surrounding natural landscape, worked diligently on her Spanish, surrounded herself with, honestly, too many friends to handle, and so much more. As parents, it was our hope that our daughter would find herself so enveloped in scholastic and extra-curricular activities during her teenage years that she'd never have time to, well, get in the kind of trouble that we did, at her age. We're more than happy to report that she's so wrapped up in Bosque school life, she now needs to be especially picky about where and when to expend her creative energies. We're watching a holistic, kind, enthusiastic kid become a socially committed member of greater society, and we give Bosque school most of that credit. I mean, we get a little of it, too, right?

I am deeply grateful for the positive and nurturing environment at Bosque School, which has been instrumental in my son's growth during middle school. Ms. Goodmann has fostered a safe and understanding atmosphere that encouraged him to embrace learning without fear. Her kindness and compassion have notably helped him develop a healthier relationship with math. Mr. Minkus has created a classroom environment where my son feels free to express himself and explore new ideas, boosting his confidence and love for learning. The dedicated staff and faculty at Bosque School genuinely care for their students and their development. I can’t recommend Bosque School enough for providing such a supportive educational experience.

My daughter transferred to Bosque her junior year and the school could not have been more welcoming or done more to easer her with the transition. The head of the school, Jessie Barrie, has personally checked in with both me and her on various occasions, and the communication from the school has been top notch. We are very pleased with the Bosque community.

Our 6th grader is loving his Bosque life! He is really enjoying his schoolmates and teachers and getting into the groove of Google Classroom. It's great having a middle-schooler who's actually excited to get up and go to school! Nerves were gone by day two, thanks to the amazing staffulty! Our family and friends (and us!) had a blast at the Fall Fiesta! The community and joy at Bosque is contagious and everyone fell in love with it. The campus is beautiful and you can see and feel that everyone is genuinely happy to be there! Our son is having a great time on the golf team and with Coaches Tara and Dave! He's eager to learn more from them and get more competitive. He's also looking forward to trying other sports and impatiently awaiting the chance to play baseball for Bosque!

My daughter has really enjoyed the beginning of her first year at Bosque. She loves her classes and is making friends. Staff has been incredibly supportive. Everyone seems to want what is best for her and willing to do whatever is needed to meet her needs. We feel very lucky to have her at Bosque.

This is our first private school experience and we haven't regretted our decision once. At Bosque, learning is accomplished how it should be in its highest form: the same subject weaving through multiple classes. For example: in English Language Arts the students compiled a poem about themselves while composing a matching drawing in Art class. Interestingly, our 6th graders' favorite or most talked about classes are subjects we parents would have never imagined him picking or liking. This includes him playing the standup bass in strings as well as going golfing as part of the school’s extracurricular sports offerings. It is wonderful hearing him talk about these subjects and newly learned vocabulary terms with confidence and authority.Switching from public to private school, my biggest worry was my son's academic performance and managing his homework load. 6 weeks into the school year we have received 2 emails from his teachers about missing or incomplete work already. While there is definitely room to grow, from my home perspective, I see him managing his work and taking responsibility and self-initiative for homework better than I expected. I can see that he is motivated to become part of this school and tries to do his best. The teachers' emails are direct but kind. They offer help and take time to support him. The school has a unique program teaching kids about executive functioning skills and strategies, which makes a huge difference.

I have had one child recently graduate from Bosque (having attended from Grades 6-12) and now have a second child beginning in 6th Grade. My first child had a terrific experience and it looks like my second child is about to embark on a similarly positive journey. The 6th Grade team of teachers is absolutely fantastic. Everything they do is intentional and thoughtful-- from how they make up the advisory groups (they wait a few weeks to be sure each child has a friend in the group), to regular homework cafes (it's better to do homework at school so you can ask your teacher for help), to their unique incorporation of the Bosque into the curriculum (BEMP program), to a no cell phone policy. Bosque creates a warm, supportive community that cares deeply for its students, all the while offering a top notch education. I feel lucky that my children get to attend such a fantastic school.

My son is a 6th grader at Bosque and is loving it thus far. He comes home talking about what amazing things he's learned or experienced. The exposure to the arts is right up his alley as he loves to draw, perform, and play sports. He is enjoying the connection with students, teachers, and his advisor. We are so pleased with the school thus far and are excited for the rest of the year!

For parents considering middle or high school in the Albuquerque area, I would highly recommend Bosque School. We chose it for the excellent academics, and also because of their "whole" child approach, which fosters intellectual, emotional, and social capacities. We love the field science "BEMP" program which provides real world data collection experience for the kids. The campus is beautiful, the athletics program is great and there is a wonderful, engaged parent community.

Bosque is the best school, and best kept secret in Albuquerque. When we toured all three schools it was apparent that Bosque is not resting on its laurels, and instead the head of school and her administration have a new energy and excitement that you feel in every element of the school. The grade size and class size are so small that everyone knows everyone and there isn’t room for large divides and drama. The teachers have helped my kids take accountability for their education and get serious about their future while also shaping them into good people. We’ve always heard the middle school years were the hardest but they have been, by far, some of the best.

Our child has been at Bosque School since 2019 (eighth grade). We homeschooled our child from first grade through seventh grade. There was never a question in our mind that we would send them to any other school in the city. Bosque School is the correct size and has, a wonderful curriculum that fit our child’s intellect very well. The staffulty is very dedicated to the educational paradigm Bosque embodies. I have no reservations in recommending Bosque School.

Bosque School was the perfect place for my son who graduated a couple of years ago. His teachers were experienced, inspiring, and loved their students. The location is gorgeous -- in the bosque around the Rio Grande -- and the school gets students out in the woods doing science experiments, observing plants and animals, and appreciating their wild surroundings. My son was extremely well-prepared for college after graduating from Bosque School. In addition to his academic preparation and his athletic achievements, his experience at Bosque contributed to his social and emotional development so that he was well-equipped to be successful and independent at a major university. I can't say enough good things about this school!

the Bosque School experience is like none other! while i think its motto ("Challenging Education") wonderfully captures what it offers its students (in both rigor, as well as unconventional learning experiences), to me it is its Community that is its crown jewel! the openness, inclusivity, and diversity make it a wonderful place to learn... about oneself, their peers, their community, the world around them, and of course the regular school subjects! a wonderful place... to learn, to grow, to be a part of something special!

After spending two years at Bosque School, we can confidently say that it is the premier private school in Albuquerque. Our oldest daughter attended different schools; including Albuquerque Academy, public school, and charter school, and have found that Bosque excels in nearly every aspect. With hands-on learning, a caring and exceptional staff and faculty, and a nurturing environment, Bosque School stands out among its peers. While every school has its pros and cons, and not every institution is the perfect fit for every family, Bosque School ensures that your child will thrive and learn in a safe and supportive environment, ultimately preparing them for an outstanding college experience.

Bosque School has been great! Our son is a new 6th grader and has immediately felt a sense of community and has found a great academic home. He was accepted to other private schools in Albuquerque but he felt confident in his decision to attend Bosque. His choice has proven to be a wise one as Bosque has provided an environment where he is able to learn and question. The school immediately identified that he would benefit from accelerated math and figured out a way to make it happen. He feels welcomed, supported, and known. We anticipate our younger children will find a home here as well.

If you need convincing, tour this school. Speak to an educator, a student, one of the dedicated staff members, and learn about their philosophy of nurturing the curiosity and love of learning, together. This is what makes Bosque special, and beyond the fray of the typical regimented Private institution; this school not only prepares young minds for a lifetime of learning, they sustain the youthful hunger to live in the moment, always ask Why, and do Good in the world around them.To that end, the doing Good, this school is also special for providing financial scholarships to a majority of their students. We're recipients, and with their help we're able to provide our daughter with a world class education, something we honestly doubted could ever happen. Bosque is authentic, grounded, connected to its environment and community, and worth every penny. Like I said, visit. You'll believe it.

Bosque School offers a beautiful campus that is the perfect learning environment. Students are immersed in wildlife. The staff and administration are knowledgeable about your student, tailor activities and academics and provide excellent, regular communication. The in-depth education provided at Bosque is unmatched within Albuquerque. Bosque School thoughtfully curated what it takes to academically, mentally and physically appeal to top colleges over the 7 years.

We were looking for a school that was designed differently, with a focus on all things "pro-student" as well as a strong sense of community. Bosque School has checked ALL of these boxes and more! Our son absolutely loves the atmosphere and "Staffulty". He is challenged daily with his classes, but not overwhelmed. His academic focus has experienced a positive 180 degree shift from where he was previously. The daily environment includes progressive education approaches and a focus on developing critical thinking. The overall diversity, smaller student body and beautiful open campus has given him new-found peace of mind and confidence vs. the overcrowded, "tough" public school settings he had previously been in. Highly recommend!

We are grateful to be a part of such an amazing school and community. The admission process was very smooth as well. Both of our children are thriving in academics and school activities/sports.
