I couldn't be happier with Albion Elementary! My son loves it here and "feels safe". The office staff is awesome! If it wasn't for the Principal Mrs. Gleason, I would send my kids to Fort Wayne.

Their communication with the parents is awful. They have accused my daughter of pulling her own hair out. But I didn't find out about this from the school. No, I found out about this from HER. I called to school to see if it was true. It was. They failed to teach my child simple things in Kindergarten and 1st grade. So much so that we have had to spend THOUSANDS of dollars on tutoring to get her back up to where she needs to be. What was there reaction when she began to show signs of struggle? Extra input from the teacher? Testing for learning disabilities? Guidance as to where to get outside help? Nope. None of those. I received a letter stating that she needed to see a therapist and be prescribed medications for ADD. There is MUCH more, but I don't have the space.

Teachers do not take an effort into helping students excel. Teachers do not communicate to parents. This school pushes ADHD medicine on parents when their children do not need it. Medication use is rampant in all levels of this school system yet the children behave like normal kids. It is extremely disappointing to see the lack of initiative on behalf of the teachers and principal.
