It's underrated. It's actually the type of diverse environment we were looking for in Shaker Heights, etc., without the high taxes and the pretension. There's no need to go to private when there's this good neighborhood school right in Highland Square.

The kindergarten and 1st grade teachers are great at this school. The principal , counselor and other staff are rude and don't care to see a child achieve. ..I have experience the worst ever for my child at this school... I do not recommend this school at all. No control over their students or staff.

While the teachers are great, the Principal and other staff are awful. Lunch periods are lame.

The children are yelled and screamed at all day long to keep them in line and lunch and indoor recess are sitting, no talking, or maybe small amounts of talking and a staff member on a microphone yelling at kids. But most of the teachers are great.

I love this school. The staff is very friendly and open with the parents. If they have a concern with your child they contact you about it before doing something. They have a zero tolerance for bullying. My kids love it. My preschooler even has class at Portage Path CLC.
