I attended Taylor Elementary from 2000-2005 and had a wonderful experience as a child. However, my experience as a parent has been vastly different. Unfortunately, the school has changed for the worse.I've had several issues with the principal and teachers, who seem unresponsive to concerns. When attempting to address issues, the principal often avoids meetings and deflects responsibility.Some concerning issues include:Favoritism towards students who excel academically, leaving struggling students behindLack of patience and support from teachers for students needing extra helpBlaming parents for students' struggles instead of taking responsibilityAggressive attendance policies, with excessive harassment when children are absent due to illnessAs someone who once cherished their time at Taylor Elementary, it's disheartening to see the decline in administration and teaching quality. I hope the school will take steps to address these concerns and provide a better education and experience for its students.

A 4th grader broke BOTH of her arms at recess at 11am.. parents were NOT notified until the CHILD got off the BUS CRYING.. SMHDO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO TAYLOR ELEMENTARY ABILENE TX

My child was a transfer student from another school and her transcripts states she's an IEP student. And none of the teachers have considered giving her the assistance or bothering to catch her up.

This has been a great school for my grandson.He went to TLCA but cried everyday that he had to go.The kids and teachets are bullies.The teacher expect the parents to teach.

We has almost given up on AISD when we sent our daughter to Taylor. Its was the best thing we've could have done for her. She has excelled since moving her there, the teachers are open to talking with us, and we can see the difference in her.

There are some teachers and staff that are amazing to work with and deeply care about their students, but the head principal has been difficult to work with.

Best elementary school in AISD! Kindies get naps/rest time, everyone gets daily recess AND physical education. Daily art, music, etc. The kids are well-rounded, focused, and encouraged to be great leaders.
