My family is so thankful for this amazing school. Small class size and fabulous teachers have set my children up to be amazing adults.

St. John's is a wonderful, caring environment for children to grow spiritually and academically. The spiritual experiences are beautiful and well planned. These opportunities create such a positive environment where the Golden Rule is truly visible. Academics are strong and there are many opportunities for enrichment. Above all, SJES is a safe and loving school.

Our daughter has been enrolled in St John's for five years now and we couldn't be happier with the quality of education and overall experience at St John's. Her teachers have always been phenomenal, and the low teacher-to-student ratio means she gets tons of interactions with her teachers and truly gets the attention she needs. As a result, she's reading far above her grade level and testing very well when compared to other students her age. One of the most important things about St Johns is that the positive environment is very conducive to learning, and we can really see this enthusiasm in our daughter's behavior. She loves to learn and looks forward to going to school, and we feel that this is one of the most underrated benefits that St John's provides. By instilling this positivity and curiosity in her from an early age, we feel she has a great start on her journey through the educational system and beyond. I would recommend St John's without reservation and feel that the investment we have made in our daughter's future by sending her to St John's is some of the best money we've ever spent.

I was surprised to read the recently posted review of St. John's Episcopal School by a teacher. I am a former teacher and my granddaughter has attended St. John's since she was in Pre K. I live out of town and visited the school when I was in Abilene in November, 2022. I went to Chapel and was touched by the services and the devotion and respect of the students. After Chapel, I briefly, introduced myself to my granddaughter's second grade class and then spent approximately half an hour observing a third class whose students were reading and discussing the persuasive essays they had been assigned to write. The students all kept journals as part of their English class requirements and had been assigned to write a persuasive essay from a subject they had recorded in their journals. They were ALL engaged and excited about reading their essays aloud. As they each read their essay, I was impressed with the quality of their writing ,the diversity of their experiences, and their understanding of what persuasive writing entails. From my observations, St. John's is an exceptional school which offers an educational program and a caring, respectful environment that will serve its students well in years to come.

I taught at St Johns. The school is aimed at cookie cutter kids and completely unable, or willing, to work with kids that are in any way different - exceptionally smart, creative, or challenged. But, they will sure try to make you feel as though your kid is special while cashing the tuition checks. It was so disappointing to see us failing kids that deserved better. There is nothing to justify St Johns over AISD or Wylie -- or ACS is you want a Christian school.

Quality varies widely by teacher, but students are often bored and disengaged. The administration will defend the status quo. Local public schools will provide the same academics, with more support for specific needs - whether advanced or struggling - and a more diverse social element.

Great school with wonderful teachers. Education where worship is acceptable. A+++ going on our fourth year; since preK 2.

Spanish, art, computers, music, science (and I mean REAL science), reading, religion (open to all faiths), math, community involvement. St. John's students are involved in all of these starting in the pre-K programs. It is a school which focuses on the whole child and on each child, with teachers and administrators who are dedicated to challenging academics as well as creative learning.

I am constantly amazed at the quality of education my child receives at St. John's. Upper grades receive the extra attention and time that students in public school seem to miss out on. There are people of all faiths and backgrounds and if there was ever a better investment that I've made, it's this.
