Encinitas CA is a city (mostly referred to as a beach city) that is found in the United States of America, San Diego County, California, and more specifically in the North County area. It's located at approximately 95 miles south of the Los Angeles city limits and nearly 25 miles to the north of San Diego. It is a culturally vibrant city, because it is near the beach, and economically it can be labeled as a growing economy due to the economic activity of the beaches and the hotels that are located near it. They offer the popular tourist experience for people visiting the town to see how ornamental flowers are grown (since it is near a source of water).
Demographics is defined as the study of aspects relating to the age of the residents, their income distribution and the general housing pattern of the entire area. An Encinitas census taken in the year 2011 indicated that there were about 59, 754 residents in the area. The population density was estimated to be 2977.5 per square mile. The census is composed of seven types of racial makeup that constitute the total number of the stated population when added together. There were 85.8% whites, 0.6% African American, 0.2% Pacific Islanders, 3.9 % Asian race, 0.5% composed of Native American, 13.7 % were Hispanic or Latino, 5.6% other races. The races are spread out over the entire city apart from a few housing developments where a large number of people from one race occupy. The census further proved that there was 99.1 % of the whole population of individuals who lived in a traditional household while the rest of the remaining population resided in both institutionalized and non-institutionalized group quarters.
Encinitas, as by the census had many types of families: out of the 24,082 households that were confirmed in the city, 6997 households had children under the age of eighteen years living with them. 5.6 % of the total number of families were composed of individuals with opposite sex partners that were not married. 50.3 % of the home were married couples but of the opposite sex living together. 8.1% of the households in Encinitas were composed of single female with no male partners, while 4.1% of the households consisted of male persons who had not married and there no wives living with them. 26.2% were composed of individuals and there was a 0.7 % minority of families composting of partners who were of the same sex. The number of housing units was approximately 25,740 units and there was an average density of 1287 per square mile. The housing units had 63.1 % of the units owned by the individuals, and the rest were held by tenants.
It is also vital to discuss the age distribution of the City of Encinitas. There were 20.6 % of the population aged under 18 years, 6.3% were ranging between 18 to 24 years, 27.9% aged between 25 to 44 years old, 32.3 % aged between 45 and 64-year-old and there were 12.8% of the population aged 65 years of age and older.
The city being near the beaches means it has several celebrations that have a significant meaning to the people attending and the people involved in the celebrations. There are events which are regularly celebrated in the city. One of these holidays is the Encinitas Environment Day that is celebrated on the 2nd Sunday of the month of June annually. The environment is explored in various ways, including entertainment with environmental themes. OktoberFest that is held in the month of September on the 3rd Sunday. April Street Fair is an event held in every April celebrated in two days in the town of Encinitas, and many other more related festivals. To maintain and preserve the culture of the city there are also museums that are located in various parts of the city. These include the San Dieguito Heritage Museum and the Lux Art Institute, both of which are within the city limits. There are many culturally significant attractions part from the museums, botanical gardens, and other sites are available in the town. Self-Realization Fellowship Temple, San Diego Botanic Garden and Hermitage, La Paloma Theatre and Moonlight Beach are among the sites that visitors can visit and learn more about the rich culture of the city.
The quality of life is determined by how individuals can live and earn their living. There are various parameters when it comes to determining the quality of life of a given city. Education is highly regarded in the City of Encinitas, with different schools of all levels that ensure people can receive the education that will improve their lives. Encinitas residents understand that education is critical, and the more people get educated in a given city, the better the quality of life is. Crime and other related vices of the society are not significant problems in Encinitas. There are also well-stocked hospitals with highly experienced staffs that provide healthcare to the entire population. Most of the hospitals are state-owned making them affordable to most residents.

The whole city indicates a developing place and a high quality of life. The amount of notable people from various areas is also a clear indicator of how many people are talented in the city. To name a few; Mark Allyn, an actor, David Brin, scientific fiction writer, Rob Machado, who is a professional surfer, and many others. This indicates the economic and cultural welfare of the city. Surfing is the main sporting activity in the town because of the beaches and availability of water around the city, and many young Encinitas residents hope to follow Machado's footsteps.
