Sorry, New Yorkers. North Jersey pizza is just better. And do we even have to discuss bagels? Because obviously nothing beats a North Jersey bagel with Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese. Enjoy your cronuts or whatever trend is happening these days, and leave the classics to North Jersey.
2. The Only Jerseys That Exist Are North And South
And there are a whole lot of reasons you choose to live in North Jersey. Central Jersey is basically the “fetch” of Jerseys. Stop trying to make Central Jersey happen. It’s not going to happen.
3. The Only People Who Actually Say “Joisey” Are Your Arch Enemies
And every time someone says “Joisey” jokingly, you want to shake your fist at the sky and scream, “Thanks a lot, Staten Islanders!”
4. North Jersey’s Devils Are Better Than South Jersey’s
North Jersey gets the awesome hockey team. South Jersey gets a creepy cryptid that totally haunts the Pine Barrens. Hmm… looks like North Jersey comes out on top, as per usual.
5. You’re Totally Okay With Being Called A Shoobie
Because it’s not like there’s any other reason to visit South Jersey besides a day trip down the shore. (Mad yet, South Jersey?)
6. You’re Totally Used To People Asking You If You’re A Mobster
And after years of rolling your eyes and shaking your head, you’ve discovered it’s actually just way more fun to stare deeply into their eyes and sinisterly say, “Yes.”
7. Jughandles Are Just There To Mess With Tourists
You can spot the non-Jersey driver before you ever catch a glimpse of their plates. The only other purpose jughandles seem to serve is making left turns unnecessarily complicated.
8. NYC Is Super Overrated
Want to take a trip to the Big Apple? You’re just a quick drive away. Want to watch a Giants or a Jets game? You don’t even have to leave your state. North Jerseyans know they have it made, so everyone can stop asking when they’re moving to a $3000 per month studio that has bed bugs in NYC.
9. You Know How The Garden State Earned Its Nickname
Northwest New Jersey is full of some pretty breathtaking mountains. And all that fresh Jersey produces on your table? Probably grown on one of those Northwest Jersey farms.
And South Jersey likes to pretend they have all the pretty nature. Please.
10. The First Time You Pumped Your Own Gas Was Kind Of A Disaster
Sure, pumping gas isn’t rocket science. But that doesn’t mean sitting in your car for a solid ten minutes in Pennsylvania on your first out of state trip waiting for an attendant who never came wasn’t kind of embarrassing.
