Newcomer The Plate offers artisanal soups and sandwiches. Chef/Owner Suzanne Lombardi is a Milton native and trained artist who earned her baking chops at Il Fornaio in California. (She’s also one of the founders of local favorite Dancing Deer Baking Co.). Ichiro Sushi has some of the best sushi in the Greater Boston Area. For some of the best sandwiches on fresh bread, the tucked-away Bent’s Cookie Factory is well worth a visit. And just a few miles down Route 28 can be found perennial family favorite Newcomb Farms.
