Bastrop is the county seat in Bastrop County and is located approximately 30 miles southeast of Austin, Texas. Bastrop is part of the Greater Austin metropolitan area along the Colorado River. The historical downtown business district lies on the east bank of the river and the city limits also extend to the west side of the river. The city of Bastrop covers 9.1 square miles with 0.12 miles being water.
The average temperatures in Bastrop range from 52 degrees in the winter to 84 degrees in the summer with lots of sun. The course is beautiful with rolling hills, huge historic pine trees and the Colorado River for great scenery on a challenging course.
