We LOVED Central Elementary. Mrs. Magin and her entire staff were AMAZING ! You could feel a child centered atmosphere when you walked in the building. The school and PTO provided many fun activities for students to participate in. Both my children left kindergarten reading and well prepared for first grade.

We love Central Elementary, my son can read and do simple math coming out of pre-k the teachers are wonderful and care about the children's education they had mandatory parent teacher conferences where you discussed how your child was doing and what the PARENT needs to be doing at home. They introduced ipads into the classrooms this year and they had smartboards which the kids loved and I did too!! With the age group I am pleased with the technology with the school. There were plenty of organized functions and little programs if you chose to attend them!!! And I loved how clean and well kept the school wa! Everyone is very welcoming and nice!!!

Mrs. Magin as well as my child's teacher were not concerned with school policies, district policies, or each child's individual performance and education. They were very concerned with how the school appeared and took a lot of time updating Facebook. I felt like they could have done more to provide the best education possible for my children. Other districts offer so much more at this age. I am sure that partial blame should fall on the fact that only pre-k and kinder are at Central. This tends to leave many parents uninterested in investing time or money into the school when their child will be out of it and on to another school in a year's time. The school is physically falling apart. They have very little technology and the class sizes are too large for each child to receive the attention they need. There are no organizations or fun school functions other than fundraisers to raise money for the school. They could have spelling bee's, reading awards, math pentathlons and other fun things to get the kids interested in learning. I also spent every night creating homework for my child since they were not sent home with any, AT ALL, all year. I would definitely go to another school.
