New administration does not care about us students at all. After cutting funding for every sport and extra-curricular activity, and doing away with all of our electives at the high school, our new executive director also cut funding for all student activities, including our homecoming dance. The students had to raise money for our own dance, and several teachers volunteered to work the dance, and provided decorations, lighting and sound equipment from their homes. While decorating, our executive director Ms. Bennett came in and told the teachers that “none of this had better be coming out of my pocket” before turning around and leaving. This was a few minutes after some of the teachers paid for tickets for several students who couldn’t afford to go to the dance. A month later we found a receipt outside the executive director’s office for a $395.58 luncheon that the administrators got for themselves. Most of the teachers here are alright, we’ve finally had a staff that cares about us the past two years, but the new administration laid most of them off so that they could hire their friends. Every single teacher who volunteered to work our homecoming dance has since been laid off by the new administration.

Horrible experience. My son attended this school for two years; 2nd and 3rd grade. People were standing outside of one of the elementary schools in Plainfield, handing out cheap paper flyers, urging parents to try CACCS. So, after reading up on the school's mission, the promises made, etc. I gave it a whirl. I figured ANYTHING would be better than sending my son to Plainfield public schools, right? Wrong. CACCS is a complete scam. It's a 5-year opportunity for the senior Administrative staff to get rich. They care nothing about the students ("scholars" as they call them) or the teachers. Uniforms weren't enforced, homework wasn't enforced, parents weren't kept up-to-date with what their children were doing in school (What school/district doesn't use Genesis now and days?), the turn around for teachers was outrageous (my son's class went through two third grade teachers in less than 6 months), just to name a few things. A lot of the kids that I observed, whenever I visited the school, had *serious* behavioral issues. The school set NO standard of class, accountability, or expectation on itself or the families/kids/parents that came in there. Furthermore, everyone should read the horror stories on Glassdoor from former and present staff.I am blessed to have been able to get out of the district, since the only school worth anything in Plainfield (Queen City Academy) is harder to get into than Fort Knox.
