  My daughter loves Roynon. Started in TK with Miss Dysart and now is in kindergarten with Mrs. McDaniel And both have been awesome. She Went in, not reading and coming out reading books now, Recognizing words, Counting past 100 and understanding math. Besides all the roynon does a great job with organizing fun activities for the kids to participate in. I can’t imagine how much more another school can be doing with the students than the teachers at Roynon. The school rating Is way under what it should be.

  My daughter is in TK at Roynon and she loves her teacher Ms. Dysart and the 2 aides. Compared to her former private preschool, she thrives at Roynon and is happy there. Before Roynon, it was too often tears and protesting at the drop off, but since she started at BUSD and Roynon in the Fall, she has always shown positive excitement about going to school. There are 24 students in the classroom, so I assume it’s an 8:1 teacher student ratio, however I think she has at least 4 parent volunteers, myself included. I volunteer weekly for 2 hours in the morning. To be honest, I’ve never seen such a calm, patient, with-it, teacher, as Ms. Dysart. She has high expectations, but she never raises her voice. The children listen to her and respect her. Her two aides seem to love working with the children and their role in the classroom. It is an orderly, calm and positive, fun environment.

  The second grade curriculum is sub par. I didn’t expect them to be level with private schools but I didn’t expect them to be behind students in Pomona. There’s no parent communication when asked for updates. The math is woefully behind, and in the first grade curriculum still. Luckily I’m giving my child a whole other curriculum at home. They haven’t done parts of speech, telling time, or many other standards. I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of the work- there’s no spelling help for students, nor penmanship. Parent concerns are disregarded when you bring it up to the teacher. I’m going to have to take my child out of the school as I don’t want to have to give them more school work after 6 hours of busy work. This excludes Mrs. Johnson.

  I Love Roynon! My fifth grader has been here since kindergarten and I will be sad to see her leave here. The teachers here are amazing, they definitely go above and beyond to help their students. My daughter is very advanced in math and reading and I never felt she was being held back in the classroom because her teachers always challenged her academically .

  Awesome! The staff is great! My child is in 4th grade and e have been here since kindergarten. Great teachers. The school is very well rounded.

  I had 3 children that all attended Roynan. If you are grooming your First grader to go to Harvard, this is probably not the school for you. If you would like to see your child develop in to a tolerant , compassionate,inclusive human being who is successful because of character as well as academics, you have come to the right place. Two of my children have gone in to the medical field and are extremely comfortable with people of all races,abilities and walks of life. Roynan gave them a great start.

  I love the school my daughter attended Grace Miller from kinder to first and her first grade teacher gave her the worst time ever really gave my daughter and I a really hard time. I moved my daughter to Roynon and she has been striving for the last two years The teachers care and understand I have not had any problems thus far Awesome school.

  GO ROYNON RACOONS! I absolutely love Roynon. My oldest just started second grade and I just couldn't ask for more. Teachers truly care and always go out of their way (and pockets) to ensure the best quality of education. I will forever be greatful for the wonderful experience they've blessed my son with. THANK YOU ROYNON!
