I went to Tice in the First Grade. The First of the Six Teachers I had that first year Scared me so bad the First day of school, I still have Nightmares. Luckily I was moved to another Class latter that week because of class sizes. in that class one of the Five teachers I had in that classrooms said to me when I was having trouble reading "I know you can read, Your father graduated College!" and I sat there thinking 'what dose him graduating Collage have anything to do with me reading. after that she started sending me to the Principle to be paddled for not reading. when my Mother found out she had a talk with the School Superintendent, who had me transferred to another school, and Fired that Principle. After All that trauma, it took the next Six years and some Very Caring Teacher who Quickly figured out I actually had a Learning Disability, to get me to trust teachers again, but we found them in another State. But from what I have seen recently, Tice has gotten a lot better in recent years, they are now testing well below average, Almost 40% are passing standardized Testing! And if I read the statistics correctly, The Low-Income students are doing better than all other students!?? Maybe at this rate Tice may actually reach the State Norm In, Oh Say 60 or 70 Years!P.S. I wouldn't be surprised if you Pull my Review, Now Days Most people in Florida don't like the Truth. and it did happen 60 years ago, and your test Scores show, the quality of education at Tice and in Florida hasn't improved much.

This is one of the worst school experiences any of our 7 children have had from the multiple school districts in various states we've live in. On the surface the school looks nice and the staff seems polite. Stepping slightly outside of the school's expectation; you may be greeted at the locked doors with a "What do you what?" response and please do not question why parents are forbidden from attending "family movie night" or "family book fair". If your child likes their parent to attend award ceremonies or be active in their education this is not the school for them. The regularly are late unlocking the gates that surround the facilities in the morning; staff will even close the gate behind them after the "opening time". This school took a 6 year old who couldn't wait for summer to end and go back to school into a child who cries and begs not to go to school in less than 6 months. We attempted to speak with the administrative staff but they see no issues with their procedures. If school selection forces our student into this facility again we will be forced to remove our students from the Lee County Schools system.

Great teachers with strong work ethic in an environment focused on a good educational start for our kids.

The Dual Language program is phenomenal, and the PK, KG - 5 general ed., and special ed programs are awesome as well! Tice's brand new building and renovated National Historic Registry building have a unique feel that makes Tice special. But... the absolute best thing about Tice Elementary School are the fantastic students, their amazing teachers and staff, and the wonderful families that support the school.
