The kids are wild and fight everyday, even the parents fight each other. Some of the teachers bully the kids and talk down to them. The principal just smiles and keeps saying the school is safe but she's not doing anything to stop all the fighting.

P.S. 214 is the WORST SCHOOL IN THE BRONX! My son went there from 1st grade and just graduated from the 8th grade. The teacher are good. The elementary was good, but when he went to middle school here is went bad. He liked his teachers, but the students run wild. They attach the teachers and do not get suspended. My son saw a student hit a teacher and nothing happened to this child. The middle school students bully the kids and the elementary students.Get you child into another school. I stayed because my son had his friends and wanted to stay. I wanted him to leave by the middle to 6th grade. The prinicpal is terrrible. He is nasty to parents and my son told me he has seen him yell at teachers and told them he will make them leave because they are not good.Every years so many of the good teachers leave. My sons favorite teachers in the middle school would be there one year and gone the next. He had thrree 6th grade teachers he liked, and the next year they were all gone. The sdame thing happen in 7th grade. He like one teacher a lot and she left. This school needs a new principal and vice principals. Ms. Rivera is one of them that yells and threatens students like the principal.Terrible school.

A lot of PSX 214 school problems is how none of the assistant principals and principal and teachers not caring about the children safety. there is not enough teachers in the school, to the point that there is bulling and uncall for injuries happing during gym and recess time. this is where the bulling and seriousness of injuries are occuring. me as a parent have been to the ER so many of times and called the district with number of complaints that until now nothing have change. the attitude of the assistant principls and principle raises great concern for any children that attend this school.

The Schools sucks,They try to cover up everything. Do not enroll your child in this school. Save yourself the drama. It's not worth the stress,The staff mistreats the children the kids have head lice. The children are bullies. nothing gets done period.

I was very disappointed with administration, especially the way they dealt with the Special Education Department. The IEP Team did not handle my son turning 5 meeting and admission well. My son was forced into a class with 2 Graders and he was in fact a Kindergarten student and was only 4 years old which means he was placed with 7 year olds. My son is said to be Autistic with Developmental Disabilities, but they rather consider him a trouble maker and constantly call Security. My son is no longer a student at that school, because the transitions was really to much for him and needs to be placed in a schools that is equipped to deal with his Disabilities.

I have 3 children attending this school. I have never seen a school where the staff as well as administrators stay on top of things. I have had constant problems with one of my children being bullied and each time I brought it to the attention of the staff, the issues were resolved immediately. My youngest was scared to go to school since he was starting pre-k and the teachers made him feel welcomed and comfortable. He no longer cries when I drop him off, he actually goes to school happy and comes home happy as well. I feel I have a great relationship with the entire staff as a parent of 3 children attending this school. I give a lot of credit to all the teachers, staff, administrators as well as the principle for maintaining the curriculum for the students. I will be heartbroken when it comes time for me to move my kids to another school. I have found this one to be the best yet. Congrats to the school team for jobs well done.

P.S 214 is an amazing school. My daughter was held over in her previous school because they failed to evaluate her on time and give her the extra academic help needed. I since than switched her to 214 and my daughter has made a huge difference total 360. She is now above reading level, she has received 4 awards for the school year 2012-2013, she has become a peace maker and also a part of the step team. I am very proud of her, and very thankful to the teachers, staff, principal, and after school PAZ program that help these kids each day and make school a place for they can call their second home. I can't wait to see what this year will bring to my daughter and I'm extra excited that my older son will be attending jhs this year at 214. I'm aiming for 2 honor roll children this year. P.S 214 has a lot to offer from their wonderful staff to amazing programs that are offered to the kids. Sports, idol, basketball, step etc... Gifted Talented School it sure is! Way to go Mr. Cintron, Ms. Robinson, Ms.Gomez, Mr. Torres & the rest of the P.S 214 & PAZ Staff! Thank You from the bottom of my heart for caring for our future! Sincerly, Carmen The parent of Brian & Ashley Soto

I've been with this school since 2007. All three of my children attend this school. The environment at this school is very parent friendly. The teachers are exceptional. Each teacher is personally attuned to each child. Parents are involved in every step if the way. Administrative staff like the Principle Mr. Cintron is in my opinion the best Principle ever. Rain, shine, snow, he is always out in the front meeting and greeting students and parents. Assistant Principles are also on hand for everything. Children are secure and safe with the teachers until they are picked up. The education level is better than any other school. Teachers are aware of each child's strong and weak point and they work from there.

I have a daughter attending Pre-K and i absolutely love the school. The teachers as well as staff members are very pleasant. It feels as if they are more of a family than anything. I agree with the parent stating the principle is wonderful. He is in more ways than one. He takes time out of his schedule to meet and greet parents and addresses problems as soon as they occur. If i have my way, I have another child I am trying to get into this school. I highly reccomend this school for quality education.
