Set in a forest of tulip poplars, beech, and pine trees --it has great space to entertain and host overnight guests. With its walls of sliding-door glass, the house feels like a big screened-in porch. Inside is an open, lofted space with five bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. Conceived as a year-round, low-maintenance house, with corrugated aluminum and black aluminum trim for the exterior, creating a glass and metal space that could open to the outdoors. A screened porch provides a quiet space removed from the main living area.
