1. Utahns Aren’t Afraid To Get A Little Dirty
Utah has gained international renown for its beautiful scenery. Glorious mountains, enigmatic rock gorges, babbling brooks and majestic wildlife abound for the willing, and Utahns are indeed willing. There are hiking trails, fishing holes, rock faces to climb, scenic roads to bike, and campsites that are the envy of many.
And after a long day of playing outdoors, there is nothing better than soaking tired muscles in one of seven natural hot springs (clothing optional!) throughout the state.
2. Where To Get The Worlds Best Salt Water Taffy
The world’s best salt water taffy can be found right here in Utah, no really its official. Taffy Town is the best, it melts in your mouth like sweet buttery goodness and Utahns (and their dentists) just love it
3. But Really All Other Food Is Just A Platform For Fry Sauce
If there is one thing every Utahn can agree on it's that all other condiments bow down before Fry Sauce. This local treat was created right here in Utah and no meal is complete without it. Our mouths are watering just thinking of its creamy, tangy goodness.
4. Every Utahan Is Ready To Go To War—When It Comes To College Football
The annual match-up between the University of Utah Utes (Utah) and Brigham Young University (BYU) football teams is the stuff of legend. It’s so ugly it is referred to as “The Holy War.”
The teams first faced off in 1896 and began meeting annually in 1922. The rivalry has amped up in recent years and has grown off the field as well.

And reigning champion of pastrami burgers? Crown Burgers, obviously.
7. Utahns “Other Car” Is A Snowboard
Utah is home to “The Greatest Snow On Earth,” and even went so far as to copyright that claim, thus the caps.
But in all seriousness, the state truly does have the right combination of light, dry snow, combined with a healthy amount of actual snow days, making for the perfect powder.
Add to that the number of accessible ski resorts and relatively low cost, and Utahns practically pop out of the womb with little skis attached.

11. Every Utahn Keeps A Very Important Secret
It’s not really known how Cecret Lake came to be spelled with a “c” instead of an “s,” but you know how to spell it when you live here.
The lake is an important part of the state for many reasons. It provides the drinking water for Salt Lake City from the several hundred inches of snowmelt each year, and it’s the ideal spot for Utahns to steal away and spend the day.
