We’ve all seen amazing pictures of the sky and space in school books, magazines, on nature shows, wherever. But not all of us have seen the sheer magnificence of the Milky Way in real life—unless you’re from South Dakota.

All residents of the Mount Rushmore State have to do is tilt their head up at night to see one of the most spectacular night skies imaginable, and this video shows it all. What happens at the 1:33 mark is beautiful for more reasons than one, just wait ’til you see it.
