If you're looking for great schools, check out Humble Independent School District, with approximately 37,000 students. The district serves residents of Humble, portions of Northeast Houston, and the community of Kingwood, as well as the surrounding unincorporated areas.
The district is known for its innovative emphasis on "learning communities” and contains five high schools, one magnet high school, seven middle schools and 25 elementary schools.
Downtown Houston is approximately 30 miles away, but shopping and lifestyle amenities are abundant close to home, as are recreational opportunities and access to the natural surroundings of Texas' Piney Woods. Riverwood Middle School is a unique, student-oriented community of about 1,100 students in the suburban community of Kingwood. Riverwood offers a full academic curriculum, with a stated mission of instilling a love of lifelong learning in its students.
