Our Methodology
In creating this list, we used the expert opinion of local real estate agent, Anthony Gulley, to create a list of suburbs. Then we ranked 28 suburbs based on the following singles-friendly criteria:
- Unmarried residents
- Population gap between males and females (the smaller, the better)
- Singles amenities per capita (restaurants and arts/entertainment listings)
- Cost of living
Since some things are more important to singles than others, we weighted unmarried residents so it made up 40 percent of our final score and the population gap between males and females so it made up 30 percent of our final score.
We averaged those weighted scores into one overall Big Deal Score, which gave us the top 10 suburbs near Fort Worth for singles.
