Big D known as Dallas has big business, big plans, big battles with its sports teams, and as colorful history as it comes. A cow town that grew into a major metropolis when cowboys, ladies of pleasure, and business men hooked up to create an enterprising, innovative, Texas spirited place. Its bedroom communities have served intriguing stories as well. One such town name Murphy comes to mind. An impresario grant made Peters’ colony possible. After much wrangling and accusations, the town formed into a thriving farm community. As time went on and things changed Murphy did not and so fell into disrepair and stagnation. About the mid-1970's the other towns of Plano and Richardson grew providing jobs so Murphy became a commuter community. Now Murphy Texas real estate has blossomed once more with the need of residential housing in the Dallas metropolis and new businesses, new ideas, and families have gathered to create a community of life, love, and laughter.
