Congratulations! You’ve successfully navigated the home buying process. Now it’s time for you to close. Many companies now offer paperless transactions, but if not, be prepared to do a lot of initialing and signing.
You, the seller, and your lender will agree on a set closing date. The closing itself will usually take at least an hour, and can last up to three hours depending on the circumstances. Be sure to bring photo ID, your checkbook, and everything listed below.
