Moving, while not easy to begin with, has been made even more difficult with the pandemic. From being around other people such as movers, allowing contractors into your new home, and making frequent trips to the stores, there isn\u2019t much COVID-19 hasn\u2019t had an impact on.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Luckily, moving during the pandemic doesn\u2019t have to be as stressful as it seems to be. There are still things you can do to help make the moving process safer and easier. Keep reading to learn more.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Limit the number of people who enter your new home<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>As you move into a new home, it\u2019s likely that many people will be coming in and out of your home at once. If you can, limit the number of people you have in your home at once and over time. If you have many different contractors entering your home to fix things, this can easily be a problem. Stick to one contractor instead of using a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thisoldhouse.com\/home-finances\/21200508\/best-home-warranty-companies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">home warranty company<\/a> for the time being and delay any non-urgent appointments until it is safer.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Ask contractors about safety measures<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Before you hire a contractor or a moving company, ask them about what measures they are taking to ensure the safety of themselves and their clients during the pandemic. Do they require employees to wear masks? Do they take their employees\u2019 temperatures before going out on a job? Have they made any employees quarantine? These are all important questions to ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Always wear a mask<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re moving and other people are around, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umms.org\/coronavirus\/what-to-know\/masks\/wearing-mask\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">wear a mask<\/a>. Bumping into people and breathing heavily while moving is common, so the more you wear a mask, the safer you\u2019ll make the moving experience for everyone.
