Thanks to popular shows like \u201cThe Sopranos\u201d and \u201cMob Wives,\u201d outsiders tend to assume that mob culture is still a huge deal in Jersey. Sure, there\u2019s still probably a presence in certain circles, but the average Jerseyan won\u2019t be able to just call up the neighborhood mob boss at will.<\/p>\n

While this NHL team is very popular in the Garden State, their fan base is pretty much isolated to the North Jersey region. If you\u2019re a die-hard fan that\u2019s leaving, you\u2019ll probably have to buy a special cable package if you want to catch any of the regular season games.<\/p>\n

26. Toll Roads Aren\u2019t Everywhere<\/h2>\n

While tolls roads are a way of life in Jersey, whether you\u2019re paying for them or driving miles out-of-the-way to dodge them, many people around the country have never even been through a toll booth.
\nThere\u2019s a good chance you\u2019ll be headed somewhere that doesn\u2019t charge you every time you want to get from one place to another.<\/p>\n

27. Most Places Aren\u2019t In A War Over Meat<\/h2>\n

Every New Jerseyan is well aware of the battle raging between the people that call their state\u2019s favorite meat the \u201cpork roll\u201d and those that prefer \u201cTaylor Ham.\u201d

It can get a little hard being a New Jerseyan that\u2019s not in New Jersey thanks to the many misconceptions that most Americans have about this state. But you\u2019re a strong New Jerseyan, you\u2019ll have no problem letting how awesome your state really is shine through.
