\nThroughout history, there have been great feuds that divided nations and destroyed families. You know, the Trojans and the Spartans, the French and the British, the Biggies and the 2Pacs.
\nToday we\u2019re looking at the rivalry to end all rivalries: Those who love iOS, and those who love Android.
\nAs we discovered in creating our latest Movoto Real Estate<\/a> Blog maps, it isn\u2019t a question of which operating system is more popular\u2014mostly because there really is no question here.
\nIt\u2019s Apple\u2019s iOS<\/a>, hands down, across the country. No, it comes down to just which states in the U.S. love these operating systems the most.
\nSo get settled in as we take a tour of the states where each operating system are the most loved.<\/p>\n

How We Created These Maps<\/h2>\n

In order to create these maps, we traded our home-selling expert hats with our number-crunching hats.
\nWe researched the number of Facebook users in each state who have Liked both iOS and Android. We then sorted the data into a neat little spreadsheet and created these most awesome of maps.
\nAgain, while iOS basically demolished Android in every single state, that doesn\u2019t mean there weren\u2019t certain states that Liked iOS or Android more than other states did.
\nSo, without further loading time, let\u2019s take a look at each.\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Which<\/p>\n

\n

Apple iOS<\/h2>\n

We get it\u2014iOS is awesome. Everybody loves it, and it should probably just go ahead and run for president.
\nIt was more Liked than Android, according to Facebook, in every single state. But even more than that, there were some states that were absolutely crazy about iOS.
\nIn Alaska, for example, 20.84 percent of the Facebook-using population Likes iOS (where just 8.45 percent of users Like Android).
\nNorth Dakota and New York weren\u2019t far behind in their iOS fanaticism, with 19.03 percent and 18.58 percent of their Facebook users Liking iOS.
\nInterestingly, four of the five states that Like iOS the very most\u2014Alaska, North Dakota, New York, Massachusetts, and Hawaii\u2014are up north.
\nCoincidence? Let\u2019s take a look at where Android was most Liked before we decide.\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Which<\/p>\n

\n

Google Android<\/h2>\n

Where iOS is most popular in northern states, Android seems to be a bigger hit in the South. In fact, the state where it is the most popular is the practically the epitome of the south: Texas.
\n11.14 percent of the Lone Star State\u2019s Facebook users Like Android.
\nOf course, 15.91 percent of Texas users Like iOS, but this was the smallest percentage gap in the U.S. between the two operating systems.
\nPretty soon, more Texans just might Like Android more than iOS.
\nThe other states where Android was popular were Nevada, with 10.37 percent Liking the OS, Oklahoma with 9.60 percent, Georgia with 9.50 percent, and Florida with 9.47 percent.
\nOn the other end of the spectrum, the states where Android was the least Liked were up north: Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.<\/p>\n

There Should Be An App For That<\/h2>\n

As you can see, iOS pretty much rules the world of social media and Android is just starting to catch up\u2014at least, it seems, in the South.
\nWhat does it all mean? Could there possibly be some sort of correlation between a state\u2019s location and operating system preferences? Perhaps something to do with weather?
