Downtown<\/h2>\n

Downtown Detroit<\/a> is an eclectic mix of historical architecture and modern amenities. The area is teeming with new businesses, new eateries and prime entertainment venues.
\nResidents can choose to live in one of the many newly renovated and upscale riverfront properties in a Detroit<\/a>, or in one of dozens of new single home communities located throughout the area. The real estate includes everything from lofts to high end penthouse suites, and for those looking for a more traditional living space, elegant brownstone units are also available.
\nThe Hard Rock Caf\u00e9 and Buffalo Wild Wings are among the many eateries in the area. Downtown Detroit is also home to the famous Hockeytown Caf\u00e9, and Sinbad\u2019s, the areas renowned seafood restaurant. Other notable restaurants include New Parthenon, known for fabulous Greek cuisine and Pizza Papalis, home of the best specialty deep-dish pizza in town.
\nThere\u2019s no such thing as all work and no play in Motown. Home to three casinos, Greektown, MGM and Motor City, downtown Detroit is an entertainment hub to be reckoned with. Residents can attend the hottest concerts at the Fox Theater, or spend the afternoon at a baseball game at Comerica Park. The jewel of the city, Belle Isle, is a breathtaking 900 acre island that sits right on the Detroit River and shares a riverfront with its Canadian neighbors.
\nThe Harbortown Market<\/a>, is among many grocery stores in the vicinity, as well as the Historic Eastern Market, one of the oldest farmers markets in the United States. The area is also littered with small shops where residents can get everything from clothing to high end jewelry.<\/p>\n

Midtown<\/h2>\n

Midtown<\/a> is one of the fastest developing areas in Detroit. Home to the internationally renowned Wayne State University and Henry Ford Hospital, the area is a prime spot for college students and healthcare professionals. Artists and other creative minds also call this area home.
\nIn an effort to serve its diverse culture base, Midtown hosts a variety of restaurants including Byblos Caf\u00e9, the areas premiere Mediterranean eatery, as well as Starbucks, Starters Bar and Grill, The Potato Factory and Jimmy Johns.
\nWhole foods has joined the areas list of grocers along with University Market and Home Pride. The Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe serves up the finest cuts of meat, and a mean cup of coffee on the side.
\nSingles aren\u2019t the only people looking to plant their roots in this area. Home to exemplary charter schools including Henry Ford Academy and University Preparatory Academy, families are also drawn to Midtown. The Historic Detroit Public Library, the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History are all located in the area.
\nA wealth of entertainment is at the doorstep of Midtown residents, as it is only blocks away from the Downtown area.<\/p>\n

Historic Indian Village<\/h2>\n

Occupied by primarily doctors, lawyers and business owners, Indian Village<\/a> is a Historic area that offers family friendly, upscale living with an urban twist. This tight knit community is filled with quaint coffee shops and other stores where residents can find all they need. Among these are the Indian Village Market, and the Food Express Market.
\nSituated less than a mile away from Belle Isle, residents don\u2019t have to go far to enjoy a family picnic in the park or a quick morning jog.
\nParents can send their children to one of six area public schools, or a number of charter schools including the award winning Woodward Academy, which has partnerships with companies that include Comcast, Sprint and Lego Corporation.
\nWorshippers spend their Sundays in some of the oldest churches in the United States. Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church is a 540 member establishment that laid its roots in the area in 1854. In addition to religious ceremonies, the church also offers youth fitness programs and tutoring for local students. The community has six churches in total.
\nClose to the Downtown area, Indian Village is minutes away from prime entertainment including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Ford Football Field, and Hart Plaza. IHOP, Big Boys and the Roostertail are all favorite eateries for locals.
\nDuring boating season, you can find many residents at one of three local marinas, Gray Haven, Detroit Yacht Club and Henderson Marina.<\/p>\n

Historic Sherwood Forest<\/h2>\n

The Sherwood Forest<\/a> community was established in 1917 and contains 437 beautiful, architecturally stunning homes. Touted as one of the safest neighborhoods in Detroit, association fees include allocation for paid private security patrols.
\nNot too far from the area is the University district, housing Marygrove College and University of Detroit Mercy, known for its exemplary Schools of Law and Dentistry.
\nLocal residents have access to a variety of shopping centers including the Home Depot, Kroger\u2019s and the newly built Meijer Super Store, slated to open in summer 2013.
\nRestaurants aren\u2019t hard to find, as Sherwood Forest is situated in the center of the city, surrounded by an array of neighborhood eateries.<\/p>\n

Boston Edison District<\/h2>\n

The Historic Boston Edison<\/a> district is located just a few miles away from Downtown and features some of the city\u2019s most magnificent homes. The neighborhood is situated near several charter schools, and includes a number of family residences with children of all ages.
\nThe Boston Edison Park is located in the center of the community and is a quiet place for children to play. Residents often use the area for jogging and other exercises including Yoga.
\nThis community is also close to the newly built Meijer Super Store and the Home Depot.
\nBoston Edison is part of the revitalization efforts underway in Detroit, attracting new businesses every year. Several shopping centers are under construction that will house a variety of stores including Marshalls and K & G Superstore. The community is also close to Whole Foods in Midtown.
