Lake McConaughy, which everyone calls “Lake Mac,” is a beautiful body of water in Nebraska. It’s the largest lake in Nebraska and the largest reservoir in a four state region.
Because it was built on the edge of the Nebraska Sandhills, it offers white, sandy beaches (not something you see every day in Nebraska!) It also offers fishing, boating, and camping.
Taking a boat out on Lake Mac at least once is a requirement for living in Nebraska.
