San Diego may have moments of feeling inferior, considering it’s California’s second biggest city. After watching this time lapse video—made up of over 20,000 images—I’d like to tell the city that it can stand proud on its sheer beauty.
The shots, spanning from the city to out in the wilderness, kept me captivated. Construction cranes coming to life at 2:05 (like Transformers going to work!) and orange-red sunlight gleaming off some wind turbines’ blades at 4:32 (they look like giant road flares against the night sky) will make your jaw drop.
And whenever a time lapse video shows a star-filled sky rapidly spinning over the horizon, it reminds us how small we are, living on a tiny ball of dirt drifting through a gigantic cosmos. Just ask Neil deGrasse Tyson.
